The PS2 isn't the PS3. the public is looking at digital distribution more and more. So much that the PS4 was declared before the PS3 was released as a non blu-ray product. It was said it would not even have a disk drive. Blu-Ray is a scramble to higher tiered customers Digital Distribution is going up tiers through youtube and the music industry. There will always be a want for physical data but I believe it will become niche.
