It's the developers first game. An exclusive PS3 title too? Hopefully Sony will spread some of their first-party expertise their way and make sure Replika meets the mark of a PS3 exclusive.
I'm all for cyberpunk.
If they use Reach assets and keep the level layout, enemies and weapons *exactly* the same, it might be interesting.
If they attempted to 're-create' Halo: CE then yeah, I don't trust 'em. Even 343 is a bit sketchy. Bungie's a unique developer, I can't imagine any studio being able to replicate what they've done with previous Halo games.
It's what the movie industry does when they run out of ideas: remakes.
Listen this game looks good, don't get me wrong, but SOCOM has been terrible for years. MAG was interesting, but the gunplay was mediocre. Zipper, google Guerilla Games for some Pro Tips.
This is online co-op right? Please for the love of god.
Yeah, BLOPS is fun to play in an arcadey-kinda way but BF:BC2 gave me memorable gaming moments that can't be replicated anywhere else.
Battlefield 3 -> Day One.
At least PSM actually played the game. Considering some of the other reviews it's clear not many did.
Deadly cover art too.
Nintendo's been dominating for years. The bad news is, with all this casual money they've gotten you can say goodbye to their hardcore titles.
Let's hope the positive sales of Kinect doesn't send MS to ignore their hardcore market too (Phelp's Kinect Swimming? Really?)
Considering the PS3's epic 2011 lineup I don't think those gamers have anything to worry about. Good to see Sony had a lead on MS 'till Kinect launched.
Turok? It was a huge success for Acclaim and the N64. It spawned a franchise that reminded gamers just how powerful the N64 was compared to the PSX. Not to mention Turok 2 was one of the most hyped games of the late 90's--and it delivered.
His other points are decent enough if not totally obvious. I'm still waiting for the industry to stop giving Patcher so much credit.
Haha so true. I wonder if GameTrailers staff gets how lame he is, or if they're still in denial.
Anyway, not all of the quotes were that bad. I mean, Kotick is right about Bungie, they're an amazing independent dev., really nothing like them in the industry.
@ Dnied
Yeah, you said it better.
Hey man, I get your point but the Uncharted/Resistance references are unfair. Uncharted has 2 games out, Resistance 3. Halo has 6, CoD has like 7.
And I agree, poor Ensemble.
"It's my opinion Crackdown 2 is the best game ever made."
See how lame our world would be if 'every' opinion was legitimate? Opinions reflect our perspective, and I personally feel if you cannot enjoy Dead Space 2 you simply don't have a 'true' gamer perspective.
A 'true' gamer may not like the style of play or the graphic story, but surely a 'true' gamer can see how incredible--from a gaming-industry stand po...
I'm a huge Halo fan, but as anyone who knows Microsoft as well as gamers do, we know this is the end of Halo, and the beginning of 'franchise rape'.
That being said, I'm still pumped for a Halo remake, heh.
Ironic you suggest KZ "had ZERO substance and nothing memorable" in the same breath as touting the CoD single-player story. I've played every CoD, MoH, BF, Halo, KZ and surrely, out of those CoD (and MoH to a lesser extent) stand out as shallow single-player stories.
I think you missed the point of KZ. Fair enough, stick to BLOPS.
Five extra maps gets a 4/5 while killzone gets a 3.5 lololol
Alright, alright I'm trolling. Looking forward to trying this pack out.
Nice, a free $15 Tim Schafer game.
A SEVEN? Jesus.
Am I playing a different game here?

"A sheep is a sheep, whether it's a follower of religion or an athiest."
You speak as if rationality requires a 'following'. Religion is nothing without it's followers. Rationality is an exercise in reason--something native to all human beings. This means the moment you're born you're a 'follower' of rationality, where as religion requires convincing as a kid--or rather, indoctrination.
You're right in the sense t...
Well the PS3 is near 360's total sales. It only makes sense.
Proof though, that MS's plan to buy timed-exclusive DLC might not be curbing PS3 sales as much as their cost warrants.
