Deus Ex defined FPS-RPGs. That's like saying "Man, I'm tried of Quake games always having guns."
Deus Ex: HR looks GOTY. If you don't think it looks good, then stick with CoD. I'm sure MW3 will feel familiar--you know, like the last three CoD games.
I heard Dark Cloud was good. I couldn't buy into Dark Cloud 2--it wasn't 'dark' enough.
@Nawabi
True that, the game went gold a while ago. Retail copies are probably floating around.
Yep! I did a week a go, been playing it since. Amazing game.
I'd personally recommend Shifter, New Vision (hi-res textures) and the DirectX 10 mod (adds better lighting, etc).
I've just got to beat this and Invisible War before Tuesday!
Wow excellent site.
The industry needs more intelligent customer-level gaming commentary.
I've got an Omnia 7 as well, Windows Phone 7 has great potential as a gaming OS. I like how my mobile games work just like XBox Live in that I can see my friends list, avatar and earn/view achievements.
Great phone, excellent OS.
He wasn't trolling at all. He was stating his opinion and used perfectly calm, rational language.
It wasn't off topic either, quote his last line:
"That's why it's MS that follows Sony's price cuts not the other way around."
People here on N4G are so sensitive to other opinions they immediately label them as 'bashing' and/or 'trolling'. While I don't agree with Dragonborn he made a reasonable ...
You're right, Wolfenstein was a big deal, but that's like saying General Motors should thank cavemen for inventing the wheel. You can reduce every FPS genre-talk to Wolfenstein--it's not really that interesting.
Halo practically invented the 'healh recharge' concept which totally changes FPS game design. Half Life proved cinematic story-telling and environment-based gameplay elements can work in an FPS. Games like Deus Ex & System Shock were the first ...
Uh, ever heard of Portal 2?
lol
The Switchblade looks completely unreal.
If it exists: day one.
After trading BRINK (PS3) in within a week of launch, I got it again (through the STEAM Quakecon pack) and wow, the game is still awful.
Free DLC or not, BRINK is the biggest gaming disappointment since Fable.
Multiplat, multiplat, Halo, Gears, Kinect.
*yawn*
I'm hoping for at least one surprise and a price drop announcement.
How is Dragonborn's post trolling?
This site's comment system is broken.
I love Mass Effect as much as the next guy, but Bioware's seriously been tanking. Dragon Age 2? What the hell. I day one'd that steaming POS and even convinced myself I enjoyed it while I was playing.
If there is one game that can put Bioware back on my radar it's Mass Effect 3. That being said, I'm not a blind fanboy either--with titles like Deus Ex, RAGE, Uncharted 3, etc. ME3 will really have to deliver to be one of the best games around circa 2012.
ROCK SOLID! Can't wait.
Uncharted 3 could be a GOTY contender, but honestly while Uncharted games are absolutely incredible, I'm not sure how much it'll 'break the mold' set by Uncharted 2.
I think this year's GOTY should go to a game that's done something remarkably different. And while I admit there are other contenders, so far Deus Ex:HR's got a lead.
I'm already calling GOTY.
Fallout does have vehicles, it's called RAGE.
No trophies on PC. While I'm a huge multi-gamer, PS3 version for me.
@FatOldMan: Trophies are meta-gaming. Game within a game brah.
Steam achievements are great, but I'm almost leveled up on PSN. To each his own no?
And--the game isn't real either, what's your point?
I was tempted to hit 'trolling'...
...but god damn, I agree with you.
CAN NOT WAIT.
