cool info, *bubble*
I was being very careful not to overtly neg the game at this point, its not over 'till the fat lady sings, and then has had her day 1 patch :o)
Point still stands though, pretties are one thing... lets hope and pray that it delivers when it lands in terms of handling, AI and physics.
From somebody who has been playing the in development build for a long time, and I say this meaning no disrespect to the game... please do keep your expectations in check. These images are great but this is like judging infamous's graphics on some of the amazing shots taken in photo mode. Also... people are being wowed by pretty graphics (my 7970 runs at about 12 fps if I have the graphics set like this) but graphics dont make a game fun to play. Thats something that the jury is well and ...
Thing is with the formula set etc they could make the console cheap and churn out six monthly 2d Mario titles which would sell... At least enough. Those 2d Mario titles will not cost much to churn out after the first one was made.
I would have been really interest to see them take an approach like "the average serious gamer buys 4 EA titles per year." thats say £200 for arguments sake. They then offer a yearly pass for £150 for all EA games released. Some will get a better deal, others will loose out but ... the stealth win for EA is that all those people are no longer trading in games...
That may even be the actual play here. While they are making some extra money on games that have ...
IIRC that one was awarded by XboxOneKinectSportsGames.com
bit of a niche but it was up against stiff competition.
Maybe its just me but given you need a TV too big for most homes to really get the benefit of 4K I would prefer a really stunning 1080p image over "wasting" next-next-gen power on hitting 4k.
This! though it was an Xbox "one" exclusive wasnt it? dont know how that would work.
The problem with PS plus (for devs) is that I've paid for a few then months later they have come to plus. I am going to start really questioning purchases. Suspect I am not alone. Hopefully it won't put people off and small devs start loosing sales.
There is no reason why you cannot configure a reserved IP on your router for your vita. Then configure your vita to only use that IP. Make sure your reserved IP is in the DMZ obviously.
Your only pain will come if you want to hook it up on another network... obviously having it set to a forced IP may cause you issues. Sometimes you will get away with it. Others you wont.
I concur. Have had my consoles in the DMZ for years and its only been a positive experience. The only issue is many routers will only allow you to define 1 static (reserved) IP to go in there so you need to choose. I went with the PS4.
From a techy perspective I can believe it. Not to p*** on the gushing going on, I am ready for this game but it does look like when you run an old game on a good pc. Yes the resolution and frame rate are there but with the exclusion of a few minor changes it lacks current gen tech that eats up power. Its still using very simple shaders for example. You can tell because everything still looks like a mesh with a texture on it (This gen we are seeing more physically based shading which is where ...
Yeah I did this too a long time back. I prefer it with the Xbox sticks full stop. I have big hands though so maybe length is down to personal geometry.
There are a good number of professional and hobby/indie devs on here. People that make games tend to like games too... Odd that.
Slight aside but interesting. The number of polygons has much lesser impact on performance than many believe. Because of the efficient way in which they are batched on modern GPUs you would have to litterally quarter them to get that kind of res at the same gramerate. What does make a huge difference is the number of independent meshes (objects) as there is quite an overhead in pushing each one. Hence the talk with dx12 and multi threaded draw calling being helpful. One of the ways we get aro...
I was thinking of creating an Xi profile to freak you (two) out and make you think your multiple identity disorder had got out of control. Then I decided I had better things to do.
@pedrof93
I had exactly the same, started at 14gb (I think) then changed to 179MB. It loads to the title screen (press x) then just says PSN is f***ed.
Given up on it for a while now. Will let the dust settle, all my friends have low connections so I doubt ill be fire teaming up tonight anyhow... but thats just me, sucky for everyone else.
Glad I waited on this one. Ps4 purchase for sure. At around the 20 quid ...
I think people get off on the idea that they are playing something the masses will have to wait for.
People get really envious that Ive had project cars for ages. It doesn't matter how much I explain that it doesn't matter because as a game its unplayable. People!
I cannot tell if this is a joke or you are seriously trying to bible bash on n4g?
Clearly my card then. The PC isnt top top end but it is not a slouch. 4 core i5 @4.2GHz OC. 16GB ram, 7970 GHz edition.
From what you guys have said we will have to assume this is just an ATI (oops showing my age) ... AMD ... thing.
Ill be going for the ps4 version anyhow.
