You want 4k @ 60fps? Do you have quad SLI'ed Titans sitting behind your $4,000 display? :)
If you do. Can I be your friend?
Honestly, the driving mechanics bugged me too at first... but, now I prefer V over IV. I think that some way to meet in the middle would be absolutely perfect.
Does anyone see the irony in having a console pissing match based on resolution by "showcasing" tiny little compressed low res gifs?
Hahaha...
OMG... N4G needs to implement an algorithm that detects console war based comments and auto-hides them. People are getting obnoxious with this.
WHO CARES?!?!?!??! Get whatever system you want. End of story. You aren't going to accomplish anything by declaring your allegiance. This is not a sub-plot in Skyrim. No one gives a $hit what system is better.
FPS and Resolution Matter. A lot. If you disagree, find a friend that has an Ultra HD/4K Monitor and go...
AHHHAHAHAHAHHAHA!
Yes. Perfect analogy w/ the aerodynamics... "Pshhhh, tires?! Who cares about tires... they're all round, right?"
Agreed Milruka...
Pointless console flame war aside - the people that claim resolution/fps don't matter have CLEARLY never sat down in front of a display outputting higher than 1080p with the proper GPU to support it.
That pic is amazing btw. What setup do you have? What game was that?
Industry insiders over here!
Thank you for saving keystrokes,
I was just about to post a massive comment about how everything on N4G still devolves into an immature console war.
WHO THE &%&^ CARES?! If you want an Xbox get it, if you want a PS get it, if you have the money to build a technologically superior PC, by all means, get it.
It doesn't matter. NONE OF YOUR COMMENTS about which console is better will ever matter. It will never change anyone's mi...
Innovation FTW... I love the idea of a few vs. many approach in a new environment/concept.
I still have an idea kicking around in my brain for a totally dynamic, small environment 1v1 or 2v2 FPS. Possibly even a 3rd person mode. Win I win the lottery or come into a massive influx of cash, I will make it happen. Until then, I'll enjoy Evolve.
Got it. With your explanation, just watching it again, I noticed the depth of it. Most of the Knight's attacks were unique (angle, rotation, single vs. multiple, etc)...
One day, when I retire young, I'll get into this series!
I need to play this game... purely from curiosity. I don't see why that was difficult. It was a formula. The enemy didn't even change tactics as he was weakened.
I'm sure if I played the series I would understand the difficulty a bit better.
Sweet. I didn't even know this was being done by Monolith. It already looked like a great concept; but I think Monolith is one of the most underrated studios in the industry:
- Blood
- Shogo
- No One Lives Forever
- FEAR
Looking forward to this one.
You think it's an accident that they haven't announced this yet? Hahaha... oops, oh yeah, PC is coming soon, along w/ next gen. Our bad, we forgot to tell y'all!
They don't have to do anything.
Although, I wouldn't be surprised if an announcement occurred very* soon.
Fingers crossed for importing your GTA:Online characters!
I know that this will get some serious 'disagree' heat... but... why not make the economy in Elder Scrolls the true "payment" model. Make it microtransaction based. If you have faith in your game, the micro payment model will work. If the economy is incredibly deep, this model should work well. It works for GTA V and that economy is... flawed.
If someone spends hours to find a rare sword, and they want to auction/sell it, boom, there's some coin.
@ Saryk...
I'd imagine they will not mix the servers. Similar to how GTA V splits them based on aim assist vs. manual aim... then again, this function isn't really publicized much with GTA V (though it should be), so maybe they'll let it all blend.
Yes, for controllers (gamepads, dual analogs, etc.), not for mouse/keyboards...
Even with controller aim assist, I will clean the floor with my m&k combo...
Yet Apple, the most cash rich company in the world, brainwashing the masses with barely usable devices and churning out easy-to-break and hard-to-repair hardware using slave labor gets off the hook?
Hahahaha... how about Blizzard's WoW (12 million players paying $15/month in 2010 after buying the game for full price)? Or any pay to play subscription model? Or any micro-transaction game for that matter?
Hilarious.
GTA V may have set sale...
Sweeeet. FC4...
Can we get some dynamic physics please?!
Far Cry + Red Faction Destruction = Awesomeness
Whoa! I'm impressed... not only that the PS3 version was modded so significantly - but because the engine can handle the calculations behind that mod without taking a hit.
This is a shame... Rockstar should have added incentives to continuing to play legitimately. The game is patched up pretty darn well, nearly all of the comments (aside from boredom) are associated with earlier bugs/glitches/exploits.
It's shaping up to be a solid game. But admittedly faced a number of issues early on.
I still think it's fun. As for next gen? Until some next gen worthy games get released, I'm in no rush for a new console! GTA V is ...
Xbox One did a great job convincing me not to buy it, all by itself.
GTA V on 360 just reinforced the decision.
In a month or two??? Different situation entirely. Too much is coming to Xbox One to stay on 360.
