Or... something different perhaps? Haha.
Perhaps we could hope for something a bit more thought provoking and a little less mindless? The twitch based shooters like Halo/COD and even Unreal were great... but, I am hoping for more. It's been extremely stale.
How about an arena shooter based on an incredibly advanced physics engine... huge environments... with time in the beginning of each match to set traps/defense/offense/ambush spots/prep vehicles/etc... like a "rush" mode, but only to get ready to a...
Hey PixelGate - I can answer your question:
I'm one of the people you wrote about, although I don't necessarily enjoy bashing COD. I actually liked COD:MW and MW2... but after that, WaW, Black Ops, etc. it became painfully clear that we were being duped. The brilliant aspect of the scheme is the fact that COD fans feel they "have to" jump to the newest game because they feel the urge to maintain competition with other players. Digital keepin' up w/ the J...
There is going to be more to do in GTA Online when this is all released than any of the "next gen" (still not running at 1080p = pathetic) titles available.
Now, when GTA:Online is available for PC/Next Gen with all of the content + more... then* it may be worth the jump...
Or, maybe I'd just grab it on the PC to run it at 60fps @ 1440 while waiting for the mods.
Sweeeet.
Just remember folks - for every virtual cop you kill, an ill-informed staff writer is given an opportunity to write a pointless article that is filled with feigned attempts to define proper morality in a crime based video game.
A casino would be epic!
The only issue I could foresee is the douchenozzles who glitched tens - hundreds of millions simply bullying everyone on the poker table with no cares if they lose.
Rockstar should allow legit players to shoot exploiters... or put them at their own tables and let them gamble away multi-million dollar bets with their ill-gotten funds.
I agree... not only is GTA V better than ANY game available for the now-released next gen systems... but the only next gen games I'm remotely interested in (that have release dates) have PC versions.
If GTA V comes out for next gen, great! But, if it comes out for the PC at the same time, once again, I'll pass on next gen.
Until there are good reasons for next gen consoles, I'll stick w/ my far superior PC... and the 360 for GTA V.
Yeah you was.
@Wni0 - Agreed 100% w/ Infinite.
Can't figure out why it was so well rated. As art/design it was amazing! As a game, it was meh, at best.
Well, this thread paired with the 1.06 patch is something I can't argue.
I've spent countless weeks defending Rockstar and holding out for seeing what GTA:O was truly meant to be. This patch is heading in the wrong direction.
I played for 2 hours the other night, casually, a playlist and some messing around. Typically I would have made $30,000+... nope, try $14,000.
Things are just now becoming a little dull for me too. The interfac...
@ Donnywho
Yes - there are issues... nerfing, the event failed due to PSN incompatibility, new missions aren't amazing...
But, YOU have to understand that some of us have faith in Rockstar to make this right. We WANT them to fix it because it has so much potential.
So, it is annoying when people are so unbelievably impatient and negative, since day one. So, to them I say, play something else.
Perhaps BF4 would work bet...
@Name Last Name - you are exactly correct. Nintenja has no idea that this is a repeat issue from this dev.
And, btw Nintenja, no, artists don't mine net code for bugs... developers do. It doesn't matter if it is for DLC or the core IP.
You think the next patch is going to fix everything? Read up on the history of nearly all BF releases and you will see a trend.
You apparently don't care enough to find that out.
yeah, dude, what do you want from them? Go play something else.
Does CoD have "events"? No... you people are impossible please. So annoying.
I think R* needs to make the mission selection easier... that's most people's frustration online. All of these new missions and I've never even seen one pop up in the voting section.
Furthermore, there have been a number of times when I go to select a quick job and the only option is to choose a "Mission"... WTF is that?
Oh, and, the trailer? Maybe next time start it off with an epilepsy warning... jeezus!
Add one more reason not to buy BF4... seriously? DLC? Is the main game even working properly yet?
BALLIN'
Yes!
Hahaha, I love that I get "disagree" votes on a joke. I am imagining these dolts saying to themselves: "Man, I don't want to shovel poop... he's wrong!"
Feces = Poop... that should help the 5 people that disagreed. Perhaps they didn't know the word. I should go easier on them.
You mean from GoW?
I was thinking more in line with different factions. Team based. 2 - 4 teams... dynamic environment is a must!
No cheap "fake destruction"... or pre-scripted nonsense (CoD + BF). The ability to actually impact the map on a very large scale if done properly. More like Red Faction, but not limited to buildings.
