There has been a fair amount of criticism regarding its difficulty and "cheap" deaths. I'm not one of those guys who dismiss that type of criticism, either. Sometimes its valid, and simply saying "git gud" doesn't negate problems a game may have.
With that said, this little disclosure in this particular review is complete bullshit: "Approximately 8 hours of play were devoted to the single-player mode, and the game was not...
Yeah, I'm going to agree with OP's BFII reference, and say that the continued push for grind+MTs is getting to be sadder and sadder. It's so blatant, yet some still defend it.
Yeah, it doesn't make sense for any of them. That's why MS wouldn't mind being on NS or PS, but don't look for either to agree to it. Same is true of Xbox hosting PS Now of course.
PC definitely, but we'll have to see how/if xCloud works on other devices. I expect it'll definitely hit mobile and should go hand in hand with Game Pass.
Don't think it's reasonable to expect it on other consoles though. MS probably wouldn't mind, but Sony and Nintendo probably wouldn't be too happy.
Lol. His quote literally begins with: "2019 will be a great year for games. I’m excited for what we have coming including Crackdown 3, Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Gears 5 as well as the incredible line-up of games from the industry that will look and play best on Xbox One X."
True. I think the rumor is disc-less Xb1S in 2019, Streaming Box 2020, Xbox One X successor 2020.
r/woosh
Yeah 2020 seems a lock. Halo Infinite being the big launch game.
I hope for their sake Anaconda goes for no more than $499, but if people want a big jump over the X, it's coming at a price.
@razzer
I think everyone recognizes that Wiis were going out to the quintessential "non-gamers." And I personally was not a fan of what the Wii, Move, and Kinect did to gaming those years.
But isn't that the definition of growing the market? And where do we draw the line for analysis? While grandma was bowling til her heart gave out, something like 30 million copies of Mario Kart were sold. So how do you draw the line on the Wii?

All of the (deserved) votes for Troy Baker reminded me of the one time someone did it better: Mark Hamill in the Arkham games.
Troy gave a great performance in Arkham Origins, but Hamill's Joker is untouchable.
@Nyxus
Why is that? If Switch stays on track, it'll match it. Is that an anomaly? A lot of casuals buy other consoles now, too. If it was an anomoly, than we have to conclude that there was no growth last gen.
@sin
I believe we saw steady growth each gen before this one. It looks a little stagnant or even a bit of a decline this gen, though. I think 100 million more sold before this gen is over is a lofty goal.

It'll never reach 360 numbers. I'm not sure who is saying otherwise, though.
Gaming is certainly growing, but my question: Has the console market grown?
Wii, PS3, and 360 combined to sell 270 million+.
Wii U, PS4, X1, and Switch are at what? 160-170 million total?
Even with the aborted Wii U factored in, this particular market doesn't seem to be growing. Things are even worse if you include the decline i...
Lol. Just cut the BS, man. It's not constructive discussion that you are looking for here.
But I'm all for discussing the actual game. See, I enjoyed the first Crackdown. Some don't seem to have played it though, because they are now talking about target lock on as some random negative aspect of this game. Well, that was a staple of the other games, so I'm confused why it's suddenly a bad thing.
Maybe it has something to do with it b...
It's ResetEra-lite over here.
Thanks for the permission. I hope you get to enjoy a game one day too. They're fun.
I will play through the campaign, put time into the MP, and still probably spend less time with the game than some of you guys have spent talking shit about it. Good lord.
This game's hype isn't impressive, but its ability to trigger people is God-tier. The only die hards I keep seeing are those who, for some stupid reason, devote hours to telling me that this game doesn't look fun.
Sorry, but it looks fun. I'm glad MS stuck with it and p...
Deep Fear on Saturn. It's an import, but even so, the english voices are epically bad.
Don't know any of the actors, but hopefully they're out of the voiceover business.
Except they literally showed the MP a month ago.
I can't keep up with the hate on this one.
I love VG's Halo numbers. We get Frank O'Conner to speak out and actually give numbers, (5 million sold in first 3 months of its release) and they ignore it.
The one freaking time anyone at MS gave actual sales numbers and no one cares or says he's lying. LOL.
Well I'm having a hell of a lot of fun playing this great technical achievement.
