I'd put money on it that a sequel is coming. Insomniac has had a great generation, but I'm guessing they'd still need a large investment from a publisher to make it happen.
I do think there is more to that PC release recently. It was not only a good way to drum up some extra cash, but was also a good opportunity to work on that game and engine in the PC space.
Microsoft probably looks at the numbers from the first one and has a hard time justi...
Makes sense to all sides to stay independent. Destiny's had a rocky time, but it is still one of the biggest new IPs from this generation. It'll continue to make Bungie a lot of money going forward, and hopefully Activision's touch gets washed away with Destiny 3.
MS should just write them a big check to cover whatever their next game might be. Similiar to Sunset Overdrive. Let Bungie keep the IP, but let MS keep publishing rights to it. It's not ideal to MS...
@Johndoe
Marketing rights and stupid DLC deals were Activision's deal.
Krib is referring to what was reported at the time of the split.

Paying extra to "even the playing field" should not be excused or diminished. The game was fantastic, yes, but adding that kind of scheme was unnecessary and exploitive by definition.
ND is the best in the world, but that crap, and their "online passes" last gen were bad. UC4's MTs were a more reasonable standard, so hopefully the powers that be keep heading in that direction.
If the MTs are bad, I'm still 100% certain that TLo...
So I guess the concern would probably be for smaller teams who use an in game communication system? The way it's worded seems odd to me.
I'm confused a bit with the requirements overall, but I don't think this is limited to only communication:
"To make it clear, the law requires game developers to make advanced communications services accessible and not the entire video games. These include voice chat, text chat, and video chat, including those in-game software, gameplay and distribution networks and consoles."
The Senior Gameplay Animator posting is very interesting. It's a new team, working with another studio, on an unannounced, high profile 3rd person action/adventure game.
Granted, 90% of Sony's games could fit into that category, but I'm really hopeful that this is Uncharted 5. I want Naughty Dog back to making new IPs next gen, but I still want more Uncharted. Maybe a little collaboration with a new team?
LMAO. Seriously, the irony is killing me man. You go into every Xbox thread to make assumptions and to somehow talk about it being a flop on a daily basis. But we just don't know about this one?
But what you're actually saying is that all of the excuses people gave defending this POS were BS.
Q: Why didn't they include dual shocks?
A: Too expensive! They wanted to keep the price down.
Q: Why is the library so po...
It seems pretty clear that this thing is a massive flop. Deservedly so, imo.
But if they're selling at 1/2 price mere weeks after release and Sony is STILL selling at a profit, then this is one of the most disgusting cash grabs we've ever seen.
It was a perfect storm, that's for sure.
Disc-less doesn't mean 100% streaming, just digital purchases. I think that's what optimus was referencing.
I see MS testing the market with a disc-less console soon. Then a streaming only option too. As long as they keep a full featured console with physical media, then I don't think testing out these other options is bad.
Lmao. This guy...
No seriously. I don't understand his comment. I know people don't read the articles, but I legit don't understand what he's referencing.
I'm excited that these games are coming to the west, but it doesn't look like either had a crazy successful launch compared to their prior entries. They did decent though, and the devs should get a shout out. But what did Sony do?
Plus this is the same Media Create numbers we already received whic...
???
What's nicely done?
Same thing happened a couple of years ago on PS+. People complained and got Sony to offer up something else. Neither situation is something really worth crying over imo.
Celeste is something special.
Lol.
The sub heading even mentions Miyamoto and if you read the list, Muzyka won in 2011.
A couple of those are past winners.
I just don't care to help them honestly.
But I have faith that the market will take care of itself in the end. I'd be happy with buying physical through online marketplaces, big box stores, and a resurgence in local mom and pop game stores over the Gamestop model. I think that'll be the way things are for another decade at least.
