I understand the importance of sales generally (although things like GP are going to continue to erode the relevance of that metric), but for an online centric game, the number of users is probably a bit more important stat to me.
You could buy a game and play it one time but be counted as a user too. How is that any more helpful to you, the end user, than someone who played 1000 hours through a subscription service?
Both metrics have problems. Concurrent...
@Thegamez
Exactly. And just wait, I'm sure someone will want to argue that the solution for the poor battery is to buy a second DS4. People complain about battery costs, but have no problem advocating for a $60 solution...
I only use the PS4 for SP, too. Bought a second controller and charging stand just to avoid having to constantly plug it in.
The battery issue is a seperate discussion from controller costs imo. People like the OP wa...
"They all make a killing off of controllers"
We have seen the break down for the DS. Haven't seen the $100 profit margin on the elite, but I wouldn't doubt it. I think the regular X1 controller is estimated at $15 to produce if it makes you feel better.
And don't make excuses for a 8hr battery life. We all know that it's cheap. Keep your feelings out of it and call it as it is.
They all make a killing off of controllers.
Remember, they broke down the PS4 costs years ago and identified that the DS4 only costs $18 to manufacture. $60-70 MSRP for these things is complete BS.
Unless we're talking about a battery with the life of the Switch Pro Controller, I personally would rather be given that "flexibility."
In addition to your good idea to include rechargeable AAs, I would think that just a replace...
I don't think either have disclosed usable space. The 825gb number has been explained in regards to the technical reasons for reaching that number.
For the types of disclosures we've seen, I would think both would have announced the full size like they normally do. So I suspect we'll be lucky if X has more than 850gb available, and I expect closer to 725gb on PS5 once we actually get them in our hands.
@ annoyed
I don't think so.
"Note - Standard AA (LR6) batteries work in your Xbox One Wireless Controller, as do rechargeable AA (LR6) batteries. However, regular rechargeable batteries don’t recharge in the controller. Recharge these batteries by the method recommended by the manufacturer."
Then Johnny looks in the box and realizes that it comes with batteries included.
SATA?
That is a good solution, but I'm not sure if the controller is built to recharge them through USB. Actually, I'm not sure I've got any devices that do that. Get the engineers on it cause that would do wonders.
All of my household AAs are rechargeable, and I have a few xbox packs and stations.
I personally hope they stay away from internal rechargeables for a while. With controllers being cross gen compatible, I have more than enough controller...
No. They were always independent, and they went public just a few years ago on top of it.
All of the Sony acquisition talk was nonsense, apparently. Control was multiplatform, and they appear set to continue that way.
Well, you tried.
I think it is more painful for all of the fake "insiders" who have claimed that the publically-traded Remedy had secretly been acquired. And those people weren't talking about Xbox...
I've read his tweets too. I think you're reaching really far here.
"I mean this guy is practically licking Spencers back side and has nothing but good things to say about MS or Xbox"
Seriously?
Are you talking about Granell, the guy from DF who's been correcting all of the absurd Gaf/Era BS, or "Timdog?" The latter is an Xbox fanboy. But he's just retweeting stuff.
It's pretty clear to most rationale people, I think. The X is more powerful. PS5 is powerful in its own right too.
Great games will come to each.
A lot of fans are trying way too hard to justify their "allegiance." It just is what it is. If you're excited for next gen Sony games, you're in for a treat. If you were hoping that Sony "won" the power narrative again, it didn't.
Devs should be thrilled wi...
Reggie doesn't join the board untill next month.
After the wait for news, this was an odd way to lead things off. The effort to defend them is not necessary.
Sony is the one that advertised this thing on social media. They knew the hype that it would generate. They're also the one that told us that the PS5 reveal timing would be similar to PS4s. That first PS4 reveal was definitely geared toward consumers.
You can't push the hype and lead people to think it would be more consumer-focused then t...
Then they would have led with it. If a Pro is coming, it won't be at launch.
No...but you do know how this works right?
As time passes, tech becomes cheaper. In 2020, $400 can buy you a lot more tech than it could in 2013.
I'm not sure what you're missing here.
Yeah. Depends on the truth to those reports. I do think there is some truth to what Bloomberg reported though.
But then I consider that costs were higher than they had thought/hoped. Hopefully that allows them to get to $400 (which I think they were aiming for), but I'm betting you're right.
@Newmonday
Sorry, man. Between these comments and some of your prior ones, it sounds like you're really, really uninformed. There's plenty to be excited about in regards to the PS5 without peddling fud.
