personally, i hope this gets approved. . . anyone with ties to play n trade, or anyone thinking of joining the franchise needs to read this
with no wi-fi, dvd-9 tech, no bluetooth, batteries in the freakin controller for chrissakes, i cant imagine any one being satisfied with the purchase. especially if you have hd tv. i really dont care id multiplats have better graphics on 360, id gladly trade a few in game textures for all the features i get on ps3.
just because msoft is ahead in sales doesn't mean its superior console. im sure hannah montana sold more records than your favorite band, but does that mean her cd is better
the fact of the matter is, i've been playing "inferior" multiplat games on ps2 for ten years and will continue to do so for another ten. if someone said i could have bluetooth controllers with face buttons that have 3 degrees of sensitvity instead of one, an 8 way directional pad, instead of a 4 way, and rechargeable batteries built in instead of double a's, and all my games would be on 50 gb discs, and doesnt sound like a jet engine taking off, and all i had to do was trade a few ...
the fact that capcom was able to get the two versions so close on two radically different architectures is fantastic. to bicker about which one is better is spitting in the faces of two extremely talented teams that have toiled endlessly to give both consoles an awesome experience. if you want to compare consoles, do it on a hardware level and compare the systems themselves.
sony already had to cut 2 usb ports, backwards compat, mem card readers, what more do you want them to cut? you pay a premium price for a premium product
anyone who thinks 360 is superior to ps3 must not have a good gaming setup. im not talking about graphics, b/c lets be real, the 360 does get prettier multiplat titles (though i think sony's games are lightyears ahead) what makes the ps3 stomp the 360 is all the features of the console. if i wanted just to game, then maybe i'd play more of my 360, but i payed good money for a nice big hd tv, and hd gaming is where the 360 stops. i downloaded exactly two movies from xbl (supposedly in HD) ...
if you cant afford it, complain about that. not how much it costs. if you want a premium product, you pay a premium price. i payed 600 for my launch 60g, and i thought it was way worth it. if people keep complaining like when the ps3 released, sony will cut more features to make it profitable at a lower price. it's because of the complainers that ps3 is no longer backwards compatible, and only has 2 usb ports and no mem card readers. what else would you like them to cut?
so by your logic, sales directly correlate to scores? think of your favorite cd in the whole world. now i'm willing to bet that Hannah Montana's last cd sold way more than your current favorite (unless your fav is Hanna Montana) does that make it a better cd? by your logic it does.
but source engine is getting kinda tired. kind of a "rode hard and put up wet" sort of feeling when i play it, but the gameplay alone is worth 9.5 out of ten
i bought ps3 at 600 and still think its worth that. if all you caRE about is games, go buy 360, but if you want hd content to pump into that expensive hd tv, ps3 is the only way to go.

maybe i'm old school, but i dont play near enough mp to warrant a fee. some people i know only play mp and need that to have a good experience, but not me. although i'm not sure what the argument is about. in my opinion, when you get in game, both services are the same besides cross game chat. i could understand if one didnt work, but they both run as advertised.
i think its good that the ps3 is sort of trailing in sales. i really enjoy playing with (mostly) sensible people my age online. i have 360 (gmrtg asyouburn), but rarely play it, b/c everytime i do, i get stuck with all these d0ucheb4g kids who want to tell me how they are gonna have sex with my mom, or kill me, b/c they lose. i'm not saying these types arent on psn, but you have to look hard to find them. if the ps3 does "win" the console war, that would mean all of those people...
why must he be a fanboy cuz he wasn;t impressed by the graphics? ps3 aside, i could name a few 360 games that look better in comparison. its the nature of unreal. everyone uses it this gen. im not saying the graphics are sh!t, but unreal can only do so much. if it could do alot more, then why is gears 2 graffix just gears 1 with diff lighting?
speak for your self, man i still play this game every now and then. fantastic. i loved max payne just as much as the next guy, but alan wake doesn't seem like a shooting game, so remedy is in uncharted territory, but heavy rain seems in the vein of farenheit (gameplay wise) and i would hope they expand the gameplay. but in the end, you really cant compare a shooter to a adventure game. looking forward to both! i love the twin peaksish feel of alan wake's art direction
i think its great to be able to buy whatever games you want regardless of what system you own, but if you think about the 50 million msoft spent on gta dlc, with that much cash, we could be looking at halo 4 instead of halo recon, or any other 1st party kick ass game.
msoft better keep the rpg's coming, cuz i cant see japanese going nuts over gears 2, they might play fable, but after that, the future in japan seems kinda bleak
the three year warranty was a good move, no doubt, but they should've fixed the damn thing instead of manufacturing the same piece of crap and slapping a three year warranty on it. if they fixed it on a manufacturing level, then the ones they had to fix would dry up, no 3 year crap, no problem
