I am surprised a master of the English language such as yourself would make so many errors in your response. Examples include the lack of punctuation in your last sentence, the capitalized non-proper nouns in the middle of your second sentence, and the lack of apostrophes in your contractions.
So in the course of correcting the author's one mistake, you made five mistakes yourself.
I found it quite entertaining. You should watch it sometime.
It is a bit shortsighted to simply label an entire group of people as idiots for their purchasing decisions. It is entirely plausible that some members of said group simply have enough disposable income to blow on virtual goods. Who are you to tell them what they should or should not do with their money? If I wanted to go blow $200 on virtual goods in Home I could do so without affecting my quality of life in the slightest. I own my home free and clear of a mortgage. I have no debts, and I ha...
I take it you never watched The Number 23.
Agreed. I too found it painful to watch.
Thank you for reminding me why I put you on my ignore list JOY. Of course you are comparing virtual content that can be replicated to infinity to physical items, so the comparison is a bit flawed. That being said however, I never said Microsoft was not entitled to compensation for the work, nor even that they should or should not charge for the content. I was merely pointing out something I found ironic.
In case you are wondering, it is not the point you are making with which I ...
Anyone else see the irony in charging for a Christmas theme? This is not a stab at Microsoft because there are premium Christmas themes on the PSN as well. I just find it amusing.
I would say that you should simply not park illegally. Don't get me wrong, as I think Microsoft should be pursuing the defendants in local courts, but the only people who should be complaining are those who are wrongfully accused. Guilty parties have no room to complain about being inconvenienced in such a manner.
GiantEnemyCrab is right. Piracy has no justification. Period. If you cannot afford a luxury, then you are simply not entitled to it. Oh and to Dchalfont: Companies would not have had to invent anti-piracy measures if it were not for....wait for it.....pirates. I say screw the people who screwed the companies, thereby forcing the companies to screw us.
I rather liked the Bro of the Year award.
It is being re-released on the PlayStation 2.
In the US, but the PS3 outsold the 360 by a greater margin in Japan, so the PS3 actually outsold the Xbox 360 in November. That is of course not factoring in EU numbers, but there are no solid numbers to factor in.
Edit: It seems I am 20 minutes late with this response. I see TheHater beat me to it.
Just to play Devil's advocate Bandit, one has to question why Microsoft did not combat piracy like this before. If their goal is to combat pirates, then why not do it all year long? I am not making this post to be anti-Microsoft, but merely for the discussion value. I do love a good conspiracy theory.
He is most definitely talking out of his ass. EA owns the Mass Effect IP. Bioware owned the IP before the deal, and EA now owns it. Matt Atwood (Bioware) made a statement to that effect back in July.
If that bothers you, just think of all the pixels you have inconvenienced.
Where did you read that Microsoft has rights to Mass Effect?
Did you not try Shatter or Magic Ball?
PC owners (including Sony Viao owners)also get to play Mass Effect 2. In fact I will be playing Mass Effect 2.
I have not seen a finer example of projection bias in quite some time.
I have never been accused to being hyper sir. It is clear that the error is a typo, and as you stated, it is a rather obvious one. So obvious in fact that there was no need to comment on it at all. Correcting a person's grammar in public is not only a breach of social etiquette, but doing so adds nothing to the discussion. I should also point out that the author's position in life makes him no less human.
Edit: I realize that by responding to him with a correction of my own, tha...
