Would you care to share your thoughts? It is EA people. They are not going to make a shooter of all things exclusive to the PS3. Would they go the Dante's Inferno route and release a "Tier One Edition" for the PS3? Possibly. Would they make it exclusive, or even timed exclusive? Not a chance.
I know I will offend people by saying this, but people who treat April 1st like a holiday have some growing up to do. It isn't named April fools day because of the people fooled. It is named so because of the fools who participate. At least that is my opinion on the matter.
It amuses me how people claim that they "welcome a class action lawsuit". Either start one yourself or shut up about it. People who say they want one, yet do nothing to start one, are kinda cowardly.
That is a very fair point, but I think people would like the option to access the XMB while game updates are downloading. I can't count the times that I have been downloading a large game update and could not respond to messages I received for several minutes. It is not the end of the world mind you, and there are certainly more important features I would like to see, but it would be nice.
Background downloading only works with Store content though. There are many users who are hoping for background downloading of game updates too.
Don't get your hopes up my fellow PS3 fans. BioShock will never come to the PS3. Oh wait I am sorry. I got a little off topic here.
Sony is so doomed. Clearly the author knows what he is talking about. Just look at how the exclusion of the "Install Other OS" feature has affected the sales of the Slim models.

People like to pretend that the Metal Gear series is a PlayStation exclusive franchise, but the truth is it started on the MSX2, and has had entries in the series released on many platforms. Some people might disagree but Final Fantasy and Grand Theft Auto have never really been Playstation exclusive franchises either.

Yeah I am sure the 3 people who were using their PS3 for Linux are going to revolt. Seriously who was doing that? The feature was not supported at all. You did not have access to the GPU, it was slow, and you could not even install Adobe Flash. I think people just need something to complain about.

It is reasonable to assume that those agencies using PS3 hardware for servers will have little need to access the PSN, therefore they would be unaffected by the update anyway.

If it is on more than one platform then it is not exclusive at all. You can say that it is Xbox 360 inclusive though. I know people will claim that it is a console exclusive, but according to the Merriam-Webster definition of "console", a gaming PC could be considered one.
Edit: The term "console exclusive" is basically a mockery of the English language anyway. It implies that something is exclusive to a console, or consoles. Even if the PC were not considered...
