N4G may have a new coat of paint, but it will always be the same old site until the approval process gets revamped. There should be a consequence to approving low quality articles or opinion pieces.
The difference is that the core ability to play online will remain free. It is not hypocrisy at all. Those of us who dislike paying to play online still have a valid point.
This is not the first time. It happened with Batman: Arkham Asylum too.
Edit: Oh and Dante's Inferno as well.
I think he meant Black Cat.
His point is so good it deserves to be made twice. :)
They are going to have to learn another console anyway. Their publishing deal with Activision is for a multiplatform IP.
What are you talking about? The Dem Bones and Crime Alley challenges were available on both Xbox Live and the PSN on day one as preorder bonuses (well Crime Alley was actually a collector's edition bonus). Now they are being added to Xbox Live (and most likely PSN) so those who did not preorder or buy the collector's edition can download them.
Sony wanted $33k. The judge presiding over the case decided that amount was excessive and ordered restitution of $5k with community service and probation. This has nothing to do with Sony playing nice.
I wholeheartedly disagree with that statement. The PS3 game library is packed with very high quality exclusive titles that cater to a wide range of gaming tastes. It is just fine without a Halo. Perhaps there are no titles that sell as well as a Halo title, but the player base has a very diverse gaming palette, and that is ok.
I am not trying to take anything away from Halo here. Clearly it is a working formula, because millions of people are still enjoying Halo 3, and many ...
The article is referencing the user-created levels, not the DLC. Some of the user-created levels implement glitches as part of the design, so those levels may not be functional in LBP2 because those exploits may be fixed.
The DLC will likely be a non-issue.
It seems that I am a balancing force for you, as I have all of the LBP DLC.
Probation is a double edged sword though. He will have to keep his nose very clean for the next 12 months, and if he was stupid enough to commit the crime the first time, he very well could be stupid enough to screw up again.
I don't understand what "MS exclusive" means. Windows is an open platform, EA published the title, and it can be played on a Sony Vaio.
Where does MS even factor into the equation? Sure they made the operating system, but since it is an open platform they don't get any money for it. They did not publish the title.
I don't care about this stupid console war, but I do take issue with arguments that make no sense.
I laugh at the statement that Sony's acquisition of Media Molecule removed "almost" any hope of LittleBigPlanet 2 going multiplatform. LittleBigPlanet was a Sony owned IP well before the acquisition, so there was no "almost" about it.
So I must wonder why the author feels that the Play, Create, Share genre is now "suddenly more appealing".
Edit: To be clear, this is not some veiled attack at any platform. I just don't be...
Ok Commodore let's go with your logic. The PS3 is your property and Sony has sought to invade it. It must also stand to reason then that the PlayStation Network is Sony's property. They own the networking infrastructure after all. Since they must also have the right to decide what happens with their property, then they were not wrong to restrict your use from their network.
Following that logic, all they really did was exercise their right to do what they want with th...
I agree with you Murderdolls. People who spoil games like that don't deserve to even be able to play games. I consider myself a peaceful man, but honestly if I saw one of those people dying of thirst in the desert I would walk over and kick sand in his face.
I would not feel bad about it either.
The moral of this comment is: If you are the type of person who likes to spoil the fun for others, you deserve to have sand kicked in your face.
A Heavenly Sword costume pack was later released on the PS Store for purchase. It is still there I believe. It has been my experience that the majority of preorder bonuses eventually become available by other means if you are patient enough to wait.
I enjoyed Doom 3 overall, but I agree with Pennywise about the flashlight. It seems a bit unrealistic that technology is advanced enough for plasma weapons and Mars colonization, but no one ever invented weapons with tactical lights. Even without tactical lights, I would hope a space marine would at least be smart enough to duct tape a light to his gun, considering the rather dark environment I mean.
I am with you on Amaterasu.
There is basically no chance of MvC3 releasing without Ken in the roster. Relax.
As long as the ability to play online remains free, I will subscribe to the premium service. Basically I would happily subscribe to a premium service just because I don't have to.
