Well that is what 5 games they have announced so far? It is conceivable that they could have upwards of 16 more in their pocket. Granted that is a best case scenario, but not outside the realm of possibility.
I agree. "PSN+" is sexy. "Service Pack" just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I don't know man, if I have to destroy one more symbiote spawn nest I think I am going to kill someone. It is fun swinging through the city, but those optional quests are driving me crazy. Especially later in the game when all of the quests have like 5 levels.
It just becomes so monotonous when you do a quest, and then you have to do it again, but this time double the requirement, and then you have to do it again, but this time even more, and then you have to do it again...
His tweet, as it is worded, is factually incorrect.
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance was available on the original Xbox. This is not something new.
I realize that Aaron is a PR person, and that his job is to promote his company's products and raise the public image of Microsoft, but on the latter point I believe that he is doing the exact opposite of his job. Making an immature tweet like he did the other day, for no reason at all mind you, actually lowers his company's image in my eyes. Arrogance just rubs the the wrong way. I didn't like it when Sony did it at the beginning of this generation, and I don't like it now. A...
I meant to type 0-10 scale. That would more fluidly translate into a percentage (to 100%) than 1-10. Starting the scale at 1 automatically gives a game a 10% value on a scale of 10 (or 1% on a scale of 100).
The crazy school that taught me basic math. Technically since review scales start at 1 instead of zero, the average would be 50.5%.
Honestly review scores should be on a 0-9 scale instead of a 1-10 scale, since the decimal (base 10) system begins at 0.
I don't think it is fair to label a 7 as bad. On a 1-10 scale 7 is well above average.
I understand your reasoning with your 5 point system, but I would argue that a 2/5 is hardly "ok". An "ok" game is comparable to an "average" game, and 2/5 is below average.
There is no true "average" on a 5 scale system because 2/5 is 40% and 3/5 is 60%.
You may argue that a reviewer could simply score in half-...
I am looking forward to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, and Dungeon Siege 3. I am also looking forward to Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Thief 4, but those titles are not on the list.
Edit: Front Mission Evolved looks interesting, but I have never played a Front Mission game before.
Infamous is a trophy enabled game, so the save file will be locked to the profile that created it.
I would really like a Cloud save system. It would be so convenient to be able to go to a brother's house and keep all of my progress when I am playing on his machine. It would also serve as a great backup utility. The built-in backup utility only restores locked content on the same machine, so if someone gets their machine replaced through Sony's repair service, they are basically screwed out of their progress. I know that is not the end of the world, but no one wants to lose that tim...
A 10 scale is a far more accurate measurement system than a 5 scale.
I also like the XMB design. It is clean, simple, and intuitive. I would only make one change to it. I think they should tweak the in-game XMB a bit by removing any menu that cannot be accessed while in a game. That should theoretically improve the loading time of the interface.
Logic fail. People bash Microsoft for forcing a Gold subscription for online play, and Sony is keeping online play free, therefore your implication of hypocrisy is completely irrational.
I have adopted the opinion that the great majority of gaming "journalists" are douches. Except for the good folks at PlayStation Lifestyle. Those guys are cool.

What amazes me is that I can visit every porn site out there with no problems, but this site crashes my PS3 if I have Javascript enabled.

It seems to me that SEGA was pleased with the Yakuza 3 sales in the west. What point were you trying to make?
Edit: Crap I clicked the wrong reply button.
I hate hypocrisy too. I also hate broad generalizations like what you just typed.
So you didn't think much of the first game, but went ahead and bought the sequel anyway, only to get bored with it and trade it in? You could have just downloaded the demo for PR to see if it was your cup of tea.
