When you make huge mistakes and become a liability for the company instead of an asset then you are bound to get the axe. People who are criticizing Sony for developer's leaving act like it is Sony's moral duty to hire all these developers for their lifetimes and raise their families regardless of their performance. Sony is running a business and when employees perform poorly or hurt the parent company then they need to be relieved of their positions.

Resolution alone does not determines a console being next-gen. Gran Trurismo 4 on PS2 ran in 1080i but that does not makes it more powerful than the Xbone or Wii U. Yeah, the price is very important. People are always sceptical about new things and many do fail but some prove to be revolutionary. People including media, MS and Nokia were expecting iPhone and Adroid to fail but they took over the market. People were expecting Wii to fail but that also became a huge success. There are many other such products in history. If the Morpheus actually works, is affordable and provides an unprecedented gaming experience then it may prove to be a revolution.
That was said by Sony when MS was boasting its one year early Xbox360 launch and sales lead. PS3 had Europe and Japan to fall back to which helped it gain the lead in worldwide sales even if it was never able to catch up in the US. What has the Xbone got to fall back on? Europe and Japan are lost causes for them so they will always be behind Sony even if they equal sales in the US.

Otherwise they would have been screaming from the top of the mountain that Titanfall sold X million units and moved X million Xbones. It will not even matter by then. Most of the early adopters interested in a next-gen console would have bought a PS4 by then and only the handful of die-hard fans will be waiting to buy an Xbone. In return for their devotion they will get a weaker console for more money, inferior multiplatform games, media services behind pay wall, media functionality that does not even work in their countries and some exclusive shooters... Does not sounds like a good deal, does it? Yeah I thought so too...
The game may be lacking in certain departments but being turn-based is not one of them. Turn-based is just one of the kinds of the RPG genre. Turn-based games are strategic just like a game of chess. The player has to anticipate the enemies action and take appropriate measures. Real-time battle systems may be "realistic" but they often devolve in to mindless button mashing and hacking/slashing.
