DDoS attacks have nothing to do with the system. It's considered normal traffic, The only way to stop it from happening is to turn off the servers. So essentially, no psn.

I understand a DDoS is not something Sony can stop from happening. It's considered normal traffic after all.

What bothers me is Sony's reaction time to them. I don't know if Monkeys are running their networks, but their response time and their inability to get back online in a prpoer timeframe is worrisome, especially on a paid network.

Microsoft, Steam, Blizzard are much better in terms of handling the aftermath of a DDoS. Sony is so lost...This...

People like you are called a Yes-Man. You bend over backwards and take it. If you think this is normal, You and people with your thought process is what's wrong with the gaming industry and life itself.

You're the reason why the publishers get away with things that shouldn't exist, You accept the unacceptable.

DDoS doesn't require much intervention after being executed. It only takes a few minutes to set up. After that, sit back and watch the network take a dump.

Microsoft are probably a little more prepared.
Sony...They're still trying to figure out how to implement PSN name changing. In other words...we'll likely get our ps+ sub extended.

if the first part releases in 2016-2017 and it turns out to be a 2 year release cycle with 3 parts (it might be more or less) you're looking at a 2024-2025 complete edition, which will likely appear on the next playstation. Now obviously, it could be much sooner if they are releasing the games 6-12 months apart.

Until we get some clarity from Square, Everyone will be validated as it's nothing more than speculation.

If each part has as much content as a full game 40 hours each, then I'd be okay with it.

If it takes a year or two years apart from each release, then there's a problem. If I was square, I'd only release the first part, after The third part is nearing completion. (assuming there are 3 parts)

This way, there's not much wait time in between parts and people will still be interested in completing the game. If they do it in a similar fashion as FF...

I agree with that the exploit was up to 1.76 and useless above that. But it is a kernel exploit, not just a simple firmware hack. So they can get the private keys from the 1.76 firmware using the kernel exploit, create software from those keys that injects the kernel exploit to the new firmware and then you have a massive shit storm.

Sony can't let it go. Publishers will force them to do something or else...

Sony has bigger problems than a few pirates, Losing the publisher's trust is a big no no. Look at Nintendo as an example of not having much support.

PS4 hacking was going to be a lot quicker due to the architecture.

It's x86, so even though the ps4 is better secured, being a known architecture was less complicated to get around the ps4's security.

The PS3 jailbreak was a complete fluke, when Sony patched it, no one had an answer because it was really Sony's mistake.

This one seems like a legitimate hack and one that can hurt them in the long run. If this was late in the life...

They are cheaper than tv's always have been, always will.

TV's themselves have more to offer and generally cost more because of it.

What are you talking about? Microsoft has nothing to do with PC gaming because of it's OS. The reason why developers prefer Windows is because it's easy to code for and there are far more users to sell their products to as opposed to Macs or Linux machines.

The fact you think Microsoft has any influence over PC gaming and gain any sort of profit from emulators is pretty funny.

Do some research, It's amazing what people say...

What exclusives?
PC has fallout 4, Witcher 3 and MGS5. Further proof that people tend to talk just for the sake of talking without even having a clue.

As for Bloodborne? I haven't finished it. I just couldn't bring myself to continue playing. It gets repetitive pretty fast, nothing to really gloat about.

PC exclusives? Star citizen, StarCraft...even Wow, as much as it needs to die, it's still one of the most played games of al...

I hope you're trolling! You're so out of touch it's unbelievable. 17" monitor? Are you stuck in 2002?

Every PC in the last 8 years comes with an hdmi port which you can plug to a tv. Practically every third party game is also on PC and has controller support. Games generally look and perform better. The PC gaming scene has been blooming for quite awhile...You can even game stream content from PC to your living room given you have the right equipment.
