The ps3 is not cheaper than xbox in any way, shape, or form. It may have fewer features but people who can't afford them don't care - hence why my poorer friends play xbox. This site is so pathetic.

What's really hilarious is that at launch the ps3 is most comparable to the 3dO or neogeo, both 600 dollar systems that totally destroyed everything else graphically and in terms of power but no one bought because of the high price. The SNES won that era. So in essence you forgot the best historical analogy to the ps3.

True, it isn't fair at all. But you can't call a console future proof for that exact reason.
I've spent thousands trying to make a future proof PC and every one I end up with could destroy a ps3. No PC is future proof, let alone a console. The term is jargon from hardware manufacturers and obsessives who want to rationalize spending money.

Partially true, but keep in mind some things. The wii play bundle costs 10 dollars more than the controller. You pay for the game. The balance board is sold for wii fit - that's like saying DDR is bundled with the dance pad. They sell these games with bundles too but that doesn't mean they weren't paid for. MW2 is bundled with xbox - the game is still paid for as part of the cost of the system. MKWii may be part of a bundle but it's no more bundled than MW2. The stock DS lacks these ga...

Beats getting in a packed line at 3am. I got a DS lite for 98 dollars earlier without leaving the house, same as the walmart doorbuster. With the 10 dollar credit I earned from mario it was 88 shipped free with 2 day amazon prime trial. Also note they tell you when the deal starts. You check once daily then come back later.

Totally worth it, I love this game. 30 hours to full completion with both characters. Then there's a 1 hit death mode I didn't even try. Amazing amazing game.

The Miyamoto interview on the nintendo channel directly states that the DS and wii got old gamers who had stopped playing back into video games and the new mario targeted them. So in fact they are targeting 18-40 year olds with the game (I'm 25, grew up on Mario, Mario 3, and super mario world).
