The funniest part is that killer7 on the "hardcore" ps2 bombed terribly in comparison to NMH. I'm pretty sure Petz: Horses outsold Killer7 on ps2. God forbid they do research beyond talking to their loser friends.
Seriously, just tonight I rented AC2 and was so bored to tears that I put MP Trilogy back in. God I love that game.
I have a backlog of like 10 wii games and 43 total (10 more wiiware/virtual console) and want about 10 more.

Agree with opengl, most xbox or ps3 games aren't even native 720p and Halo 3 is 640p without anti-aliasing cause of 64 bit lighting. Though he may have just meant HD output upscaled from 480p natively rendered seeing as even on the HD consoles HD output doesn't mean exactly that.
Do you like real time strategy or tactics? Those are essential for PC games if you do. Bungie used to make them...Myth II was amazing. If so look for the release of SC2 or the next command and conquer.
Check out certain RPGs too. Dragon's Age is best on PC. If you haven't played Fallout 2 get it! It KILLS 3 in story and plot. Old but still great.
For FPS it's been a while since I played them actively. Right now you have a pick of decades worth of games people...
Cause you can actually aim like a beast ;) I skipped MW2 for this. Headshots are why I play FPS, not killstreak perks.
I love that you can play with the wiizapper or crossfire lightgun like an actual gun. Precision ADS (wii only feature) makes the ADS aim like a rail shooter. Standard just determines the velocity of turning, precision is shoot where you point. Amazing.
It just feels more active and immersive when you aim to shoot or shake the nunchuck to reload....
Quake 2 is amazing, IMHO COD is just action quake 2 updated for the times and that was Counter Strike for quake...sad most console gamers didn't realize that style of game until COD came out.
My PC and wii are for gaming. My ps3 plays blueray and rare gems like LBP or Demon's Souls.

I like wii cause I used to have bad carpal tunnel and the controller didn't aggravate it. It cleared up mostly thank god. After reading that about ND I'll have to buy UC2, very good to hear.

Dude, half us wii gamers have PCs for tech based games and the wii for console platformers. Your rig is basically mine. Wii games are nothing like pc or HD console games and that's why we like them - it's a throwback to SNES we miss.
You can afford it, ha. It's dirt cheap if you can assemble it. Ballin' is solid state hard drives but honestly I'm not impressed unless you're overclocking.
With HD we'd get the same old boring developers thinking in the same ways they have for years. "We could add this in GTA if we had this much more horsepower..."

Game is awesome, I have a ps3 and play it COD on the wii. Graphics aren't worse than the conduit - textures are better but player models are worse. Best wii FPS by far, I loved the conduit too.

As far as I'm concerned any platform with dual analog is the wrong one for FPS. Wii hit boxes are smaller than Xbox and ps3 ones in this game because you can actually aim with the wiimote. That's why I have this and not MW2 for my ps3.
How could they judge a quality game with the rules of the console different from basically every previous generation? A lot of reviewers and myself hate carnival games but it still sold 1 million+. Basically it's not their job. Did people ever tell Sony to control the total crap games that were released for ps2?

Pick up Ghost Squad if you haven't, it's < 20 dollars now and probably the 2nd best rail shooter on the console. And if you're hurting for new titles try Target: Terror (10-15 dollars on amazon!) and wild west guns for 10 on wiiware for more fun.
