When the wii stops selling wildly you'll see a successor. Sadly eviltwin, hatchimatchi is right. What's the world coming to?
If the wii sales fall heavy by 2011 you might see the successor. This will take screwups on Nintendo's part though. Forgetting why people bought the wii and the promise of motion controls and retro gaming is their greatest danger - I want more WM+ so bad right now. And a sequel to NSMB or punchout or more 2d games.

It's a sequel to 2d mario that has taken over a decade for release. Obviously we're excited that someone might listen to the sales and make a sequel so we don't have to wait another decade.

Getting every star coin takes considerably longer. Multiplayer I got 28 hours first playthrough with a team of people who played mario since nes.

An alternative that absolutely crushes the other consoles in sales. It's only an alternative if you hate it. Any actual analysis of sales figures shows total dominance. The development costs of assassin's creed compared to no more heroes makes that comparison a total joke. Have you played either game? Do you know how much more work assassin's creed would be to program and design? NMH was profitable because the development costs were so low! You can tell from the later boss fights that they ran out of time with NMH. The top ranked assassin jokes about the delays of the game!

Cod games sell like that on wii without advertisement too. So did boom blox. There is no wii game like blazblue or demon's souls so that comparison makes no sense now. There is literally no AAA non-nintendo game except year old ports with no advertising.

Developers make games for themselves, not customers. So it basically depends on their hatred for nintendo.
For example, UT engine not running on the wii but being released for the iphone is the most hilarious bullsh!t I've read in years. The iphone has 24mb of vram and the wii 88mb. The ps3 is fun. I just finished punchout so I went back to tekken 6. But I like the wii more. There's older, fun games on it. Much more my style. I can take tekken again since I haven't played it in years and I love LBP. But honestly my wii game collection is much bigger. I have like 50+ wii games, 10 for ps3. I hate aiming on dual analog so that limits what I buy...but stuff like Heavenly Sword and traditional console games roc...
