Most people here started gaming at ps1. This is why they ignore the fact nintendo aimed at recapturing lapsed gamers with the wii.
My theory here is that us older NES gamers went to PC for the hardcore games or stopped entirely and the wii brought us back to consoles. Hence why we see the HD consoles as stripped down PCs - we've played FPS for years already in better resolution and with better controls.
