"The Wii can't sell 3rd party games"
The wii has 54 third party games that sold over a million copies.
How's blazblue selling? I love the game...you guys aren't hardcore enough for a AKSYS fighter? No More Heroes sold around the same amount.
Didn't Sony just shut down the wipeout hd devs? Didn't Lair kill factor 5? Last I checked Marvelous is still in business.
"The Wii is selling to a totally different market....
I don't get it either. Wii gets blamed when a small studio makes their first game as one of a team of 12 and fails. PS3 isn't blamed when the developers of Wipeout HD and Lair fail after years of making great and successful titles.
How many games on ps3 or xbox sell that much?
"Let's say that 20 million regular gamers bought a Nintendo Wii. I posit that as many as 40 to 50 million people who purchased a Wii are not regular gamers and don't purchase games very often, other than Mario games and games made by Nintendo."
Were you here the other day when the nintendo conference was posted saying that 54 third party wii games have sold a million copies? I don't think you were.
My friend wants to try and make money with a web show and I plan on pointing him here first.
My apologies.
You haven't played NMH the original? The game rules.
It wasn't listed in the info. Posting HHG to the wii section without any good reason happens a lot more than you'd think.
Regardless I'd say any posting in the wii section with "Metal Gear FPS New Game New Snake" as a title is incorrectly posted.
A safe bet is that wii owners don't care what HHG has to say. I own a ps3 and I don't care what he has to say either.
Thank you for getting your hands dirty.
Can someone tell me if he mentions the wii at all here? Chances are it's incorrectly posted in the wii section but I'm not sorting through someone else's trash.
This way when they say the wii can't handle the ut engine the fact it runs on apple hardware isn't as embarrassingly false.
Not as fun as the other 2 but still a very good title. Easily worth the price.
True, should have said everyone who stopped playing sonic. To be fair I'm not entirely a 2d purist though. I'm a 2d platformer purist. After being ignored for decades we're very excited to learn that there are others like us and businesses finally realized this.
There's a hedgehog on my belly who will be thrilled to know I won't wake him up when this game comes out for days.
I loved the sonic cartoon...mmmnnn, chili dogs.
It's 2d sonic. They finally got that everyone just wanted 2d sonic.
Why does everyone care if video games on some device aren't up to their personal standards? Just don't play them. God forbid someone starts gaming on a device you don't approve of.
"The article clearly states that Nintendo forgot about all the other franchises they have, so I have no idea why you said "this guy wants the franchises he likes - screw the rest of them."
He's factually incorrect. They brought back punchout on wii and never had it on gc or n64. So it turns out that they didn't always bring back every franchise in those days.
Secondly he neglected Wario and Excitebike as returning, as well as donkey kong in dk ba...
You must be new here.
"Honestly, I really didn't like Metroid Prime, so I never had the motivation to finish it. game developers tend to fail what people (not just gamers) want, so they always end up creating something that merely rekindles their old memories, but isn't that a good thing?"
Metroid Prime is a radical departure from the 2d style of the original metroid and lots of angry fans argued that moving it to a 3d FPS would kill the game. It does much more than rekindle their old memor...
"What Nintendo has forgotten to do, is bring back all their other franchises like they did for the Nintendo 64 and the Gamecube. Since the Wii launched in 2006 we've only seen Link, Samus, and a CRAPLOAD of Mario."
This excludes:
Punchout (hilarious given the fact n64 and gc never brought this back)
Wario
Excitebike
"How many Mario games have we seen on the Wii? I'll just take a wild guess and say about 8-10 games."

There's a reason we call some games nintendo hard. Do you remember playing Ghouls and Ghosts as a kid? Now we grow up and find out the game is pretty much impossible anyways, but no one told us that and so we kept playing. Some of us got so good we beat it (god knows I didn't but I still love the game).
Those simple yet terribly difficult games are why I love the wii. World 9-7 on NSMB is harder than anything I've ever seen on xbox, ps3, and possibly pc.
It's a d...
That's a good way of putting it.
What I liked about OOT once is that everything is there pretty much to solve puzzles. At this point I want to boomerang some enemies. I hope wm+ helps with the fighting. Puzzles are cool but collecting heart *pieces* is too much for me.
"Wii does not have the legs PS3 has."
Point to one piece of data that suggests that. From what I saw the ps2 had bigger legs than the ps3 for a while.
There's a difference between owning a console (I'm crazy moustachio on psn) and being so in love with it that you ignore all rational analysis to make a point that has been asserted for 3 years and turned out false every time. Didn't the wii just set a record in december? How can you even claim the wii...
