Not a Wicker-basket developer conference.
Not a Game Player Conference.
Not a Game Developer Bath-house.
I think there is genuine anticipation for this adorable title. Why aren't people allowed to state their admiration for a surprisingly interesting game without being compared to another console's line-up? They have nothing to do with each other.
If Microsoft is taking a gracious turn towards their competitors, it'd be a first. I don't mean to hate, trust me, we all depend on their OS's. But I'd be REAL surprised if any endorsement of a competitor's product was an official stance, given the last 20 years of marketing juggernaut that muscled out countless home-brewed code.
The AI in God of War was subtle, if there is ANY comparison to this game whatsoever... but there were times when (spectacularly so) enemies would take turns attacking you to hit you for the hardest hit. If the AI in this game follows that same regiment, then I gladly look forward to the challenge... at the highest level they can afford.
I can't WAIT to dominate the "thumbstick controller" players who've been bragging that mouse/keyboard is no better!
Think about that for a second. UT3 on a huge HDTV, on a PS3 with mouse keyboard [/drool]
The UT series imho, is THE definitive FPS deathmatch experience. I have wasted a good portion of my life playing this game... and I'm a little scared to think that UT3 is going to support Mouse and Keyboard on the PS3... I will disappear for another 5 years.
You have 3 multi-billion dollar companies vying for your cash. Every time one of them up's the ante, we all win. Period.
Seriously. Ice Age "The Meltdown" looks AMAZING in HD. I even liked it better than the first one, worth the price most definitely at half off.
Mechs have been around since the early Godzilla days. (Did I just let slip how old I am?)
Sak500 quote = "back to your bed, tomorrow is your first day in your 3rd grade. They will teach you something about grammer."
I just thought I'd mention the irony of ridiculing someone's "grammer" when you can't spell the very word "grammAr".
A user created and shared sandbox of physics, puzzles, traps, and multiplayer quirkiness... this is fantastic surprise.
I was literally giggling at some of the antics these little guys performed.
I really hope that Sony's version of "Achievements" is integral to the Home experience (i.e. completing game Achievements gives you Home currency to purchase virtual items)
Sorry for the double post
It's a good time to be a bald man in the video game industry (hello Phil and Peter, ya I'm looking at you!)
I'm surprised Castlevania wasn't on there.
Eclipse, that was so "right" it made my heart skip. Wow.
That's all I needed. Where do I pay?
Is it too much to ask for 1v1 or some kind of multiplayer for one of the best strategic games of all time?
Having been a huge fan of the original on the PS1, I've been waiting, and waiting.... and waiting for multiplayer Tactics. THIS is great news!
