Seriously, I've spent some time thinking about a limitless, infinitely expansive, and yet static universe waiting to be MMO explored based on the number Pi. I had a conversation about the prospect with the creator of the original Elite, if anyone's interested. (Queue sarcastic responses, but I did save the emails.) I doubt that's the kind of experiment NASA's hoping to conduct on us.

Microsoft NEEDS to include one or the other... either Blu Ray orHD-DVD AS STANDARD. Shyt or get off the pot. If they truly want to compete for the next 4 years, they need more storage than DVD9 to keep up.
It's easy to forget (I guess) that the PS3 had only been in Japan and the U.S. all this time... while it's competitors were in all three markets. Now we begin to see what a level playing field looks like.
almost as bad as I'm sure the Europe PS3 fans have been. I'd grown weary of the worldwide comparisons between consoles that had already launched in all markets and the "johnny come lately" PS3 that was only in 2/3 of the world markets.

I think Microsoft is taking a dangerous approach with it's tiered console philosophy. I suppose it helps console owners find a price point they're comfortable entering the gaming arena with, and there's a lot to be said for that, but they're on a slippery slope here that could segment it's user-base if they're not careful.
Is the Elite starting to seem more and more like a PS3?

Argue with his points if you want to, it's an ongoing debate in an open arena of ideas and we'd all like to join you, but degrading a wildly creative and talented development team JUST BECAUSE it produces games for the PS3 is the height of hypocrisy.

Maybe they shouldn't charge as much for a UMD as a DVD. If UMD's cost $8.00 they'd sell just fine and the format wouldn't be dead, but charging the same price as a DVD is stupid stupid stupid.
