Well...everyone has their own likes and dislikes so I am not going to debate absolutes. I never said that the game is a technological achievement...all I said was that I enjoyed playing it with a group of friends. Which also proves that games don't have to be photo-realistic or in development 4+ years to be fun. Anyone wanting to knock the game should first play it with a group of friends on Normal or Advanced...or try the vs mode and play as undead. If you don't like it after that, then the ...

Hero..those are good points, but the one other thing to keep in mind is how easy Live has made it for meeting up with people. They have made multiplay more accessible for most even if you don't have an extensive group of gaming friends. You jump on Live and make NEW friends for the games you like play. Sure there are a lot of people you don't want to deal with on Live...but you have the ability to weed out the good from the bad. That is what social gaming is all about.

Game is a riot to play with friends. Hopefully increased sales numbers will get Valve moving on more DLC for the game. Still waiting to hear when the first proposed DLC content is going to drop.

First of all, this is a third party company providing the tech and not MS.

Secondly, I guess you didn't see the NVIDIA article on their 3D tech that they presented at the CES. So I am to assume that the week before the show word got out of this world changing tech that Sony invented which prompted NVIDIA to cobble something together to take to the show. Yeh...right.

Time the put the poms poms down and get educated. Sony DID NOT invent this tech. They simply appli...

These craptacular submissions need to stop from ALL sides.

Need a gamer motto?....Shutup and play.

Sony was willing to sacrifice their gaming market share for the sake of winning the format war.

If someone would come up to you with the idea of launching a new gaming console with the following characteristics:

1. Expensive
2. Very few launch games
3. Difficult and time consuming to develop for

You would call them crazy and ask why even bother. Because it was all about Blu-ray and timing, which is why Sony didn't wait until their sys...

This of course is assuming they don't have any setbacks...which most releases are prone to have.

I think most people just didn't want to have to go through the pain of having to find everything again. I know when I first used it at work I was cursing them for not including a feature to provide the old office toolbar.

No, the problem is that Sony isn't doing anything new here and they are being proclaimed as technological gods. They have been using the 3D glasses gimmick in movies for years now...regardless the means in which you project it.

You want to impress me...make it work WITHOUT the glasses and eye strain...then you got something.

And how about the arrogant title for it? REAL 3D...like what they are doing is anymore impressive than what NVIDIA showed. So everyone else ...

Is this Sony REAL 3D or NVIDIA 3D...or is calling something REAL 3D supposed to give someone the idea that you invented it and it is better that any one else's. I was wondering how long before they started to try this...the movie industry has be generating 3D this way for a while now. Cool, but not innovative. Now...making a TV generate 3D WITHOUT the glasses...that is innovative. This should be cool to try but questionable as to whether the eyes will be able to take this for long periods of ...

Think of it like direct TV but over your internet connection. If you want to get a better idea then look into AT&T's Uverse.

http://www.att.com/gen/pres...

Unfortunately it is not available everywhere....yet. If MS was smart they would start partnering up with them to provide box alternatives to those who might want one of their decoders to be a game box.

All of you are going to cry just as loud when these same crap articles are posted for 360 and Wii...correct...or will you choose the way of the hypocrite? I think we have proven on this site that blogs and opinion pieces offer nothing but a negative outcome. And for the record...the "they started it first" crap argument is infantile and tired. You don't like these articles...THEN IGNORE THEM...let them fall to the bottom of the stack and fade away........

Sony reps were quoted as saying...WE HOPE TO KEEP HOME FREE. I challenge anyone to dig up one respectable source where a Sony rep flat out promises to keep Home free forever. Home's fate will be decided on 2 things...how much money Sony has to put into it and how much revenue they get back from Advertising/Microtransactions. How much effort do you think it takes one 3D artist to build an object for home? Sony charges say a $1 for it...a fraction of it goes to the creation cost and the rest go...

I understood where you were coming from...its all good. In this case of the OS similarities I call it as I see it. I am hoping that Windows 7 finally makes it worth the move.

Dark...not defensiveness...more to the point of irritated. I just get a little tired of the usual "your opinion != to my opinion so your are an idiot" type responses around here.

I DO know what I am talking about AND have used both...or more like had to FIX both. I have had to deal with MANY friends and family systems that had problems with ME. I likewise had to deal with NUMEROUS driver/bug related issues with VISTA at work. I will admit that Vista is not as unstable as ME BUT there are definite similarities as to how MS brought them to market. They both represent unfinished versions of a successor OS. Anyone who wishes to blatantly accuse me of incompetence WITHOUT ...

Same exact thing happened when they brought out Windows ME. They were unable to get XP finished and decided to push that abortion of an OS out the door. Vista is nothing more than the modern day version of ME. Hopefully Windows 7 will be to Vista what XP was to ME.

What the hell ever happen to "The Dishwasher"??? I have been waiting for that one to surface again. I played the demo the first time MS temporarily made it available, but haven't seen it since. I appears to be the "Castle Crashers" of XNA....taking forever to come out.

Unfortunately we are going to start seeing a lot more sequals or games that look a like due the re-using models, textures, and such. We are aleady seeing this with some of the licensed engines. A lot of studios don't have the resources to roll their own anymore. Tools are going to have to evolve just as fast as the hardware itself.

10 years development...really? So what you are telling me is that they were actively working on Too Human for 10 years straight...day in and day out. Just because they originally created the concept 10 years ago and couldn't do it on the PS2 doesn't mean it has been in development that entire time.

Well...If you are looking just for a machine to play games or something to buy a 12 year old for Xmas then yes it is overpriced. This is partially why the Wii was handing everyone their collective a$$es out of the gates. Not because it was more powerful but because it was cheaper. Sure the motion gimmick attracts but if the Wii came out at the same price point as the rest it would not have sold nearly as many. I think recent sales show that.
