Does that mean they fixed the BS single player endgame so that you can finish it with something other than a guardian class? I mean come on...at least create save points after each or every other tablet. Having to go ALL THE WAY back to the beginning after dying was major BS.
I know there was an epic item to be had but after playing the game multiple months to get to that point...consider that item bought in my eyes. That is one of the main reasons why I quit playing.
They are most likely doing this to generate interest prior to them releasing their newest version (if rumor is true). MekTek single handedly kept the community going when MS canceled support for it. Sucked, but at least MS allowed the MekTek community to use the game code and create new expansion/mods for Mechwarrior 4. If you get the chance make sure to download their community expansions...tons more mechs and weapons.
On a side note...is Tinker's supposed new version in anywa...
Wii forces you to use their motion controls. Natal can be used in parallel with existing controls if the developer so chooses. Most of these companies may be looking primarily at the recognition abilities with maybe some movement. I would expect them to still primarily use the gamepad at this point in time and use Natal mostly to do minor things to augment/immerse the player within the game.
I think the Wii has trained people to be narrow minded to idea the motion control. Who said that motion control/detection had to be the ONLY means of game input. I am not sure about the others, but it has been clearly stated that Natal will work in parallel with existing game controllers. This will give them the OPTION to enhance a game without ruining what already works. Some of Natal may be more about player emersion and less about control.
It's the awkward silence right after someone's attempt to be witty and fail miserably. Why don't you take it in the open zone where you might find an audience with simpler minds. ------->
There are obviously a fair number of Anti-Microsoft/Pro-PS3 posters in here. You know...the same people when told the PS3 was too expensive responded to those as "cheap ass" or "go get a job". And here we are now...those same people b*tching about the price of a MULTI-PURPOSE OS. I am not advocating MS...just pointing out the usual schizophrenic behavior that is common place on this site.
I find it rather amusing how the PS3 advocates bringing up the whole MS supporters slamming motion control until Natal thing. If my memory serves me correctly there were A LOT of PS3 cheerleaders screaming FAD and how the Wii was a kids toy. And here you guys are arguing after the show how your 1:1 controller is better and more accurate than Natal or Wii, but it's only the MS people that are all waffling on the issue...righhhhhhhht. You corporate cheerleaders are some funny animals. Personall...
Natal is not just about control...it's about connecting a game to a real world environment. Imagine with Natal's face recognition you will be able to say your name at the beginning of a FPS session and have the characters speak to you by name and look directly at you as they speak to you, thus further immersing you in the story. Even multiple people playing co-op on the same system could be singled out distinctly by the characters and given orders or asked what they want to do. For that matte...
You will be able to simultaneously use existing controls with Natal. So if there is a need for a gamepad or accompanying device then they will add that functionality. How about the fact with Natal's face recognition you will be able to say your name at the beginning of a FPS session and have the characters speak to you by name and look directly at you as they speak to you, thus further immersing you in the story. With some more work...you may even get multiple people playing co-op on the same...
Natal has full motion detection...how hard would it be to make a pistol with your index finger and thumb and have it fire every time to tilt/flick back then turn it sideways for a reload. The point being Natal could use any gesture for a button hit. Sure a button hit may be faster at the moment, but who knows where this tech will be when they release it. Maybe we should just can the rhetoric until the developers can actually put something on the shelve for both of these technologies.
If you don't have the capacity to understand what it said then have one of your parents read/explain it to you.
Note to admins: You may need to flush twice if you want to get these open zone turds out of here.
*** Not sure how my comment ended up above their's...posted after.???
I personally can care less about the article and it's accurate or inaccurate nature. My comments are directed to pathetic fact that there are people in this forum wasting their time even arguing about this. This is one of the reasons why I seldom post anything...except for a good laugh every once in a while...such as now.
So my white nondescript rectangle is bigger than yours...Ha Ha!!!
People really need to get a grip. If I ever decide to go back and get a Psych degree I think I will use this site as my thesis material...a wealth of psychosis and overcompensation to be had.
No interest until they get a clue.
I grew tired of enemy respawns behind friendly lines, enemies running unhindered past multiple allies in efforts to point blank you, the half-dozen "magic" grenades that appear when you try and hide behind something, their save points are crap, and I can go on. Someone needs to clue them in on the fact soldiers didn't have a box of 30 grenades strapped to their arse.

It would feel good to jump into a thor again and take down some missle boats spec ops style.
...your Anti-Microsoft. For one, no where do they even tell you how much this estranged "Surface Killer" would cost...still in prototype mode. Second, the guy testing this was moving slower than a senior citizen trying to walk on ice...looks to be a ways off before a normal person can use the thing reliably. Third, who the hell is going to wear a camera/mirror, colored "finger nails", and find a nice roomy blank wall to project against to place an order in their favorite r...
Got them apple people burning up inside doesn't it. For them to waste the effort to create this "parody" I would guess that is the case. Like it or not this will change things and it doesn't have Jobs name on it.
A live gold subscription costs a little over $4 a month. MMO company charges person the usual $15 a month of which $4 of that goes to MS to pay for gold account. MMO in turn gets to use LIVE for distribution of content, promotion, and allow for payment through points system. Why would an MMO want to do that? Because the lure of having a gold account subsidized might get more people signing up for a MMO. It would be no different than spending that money on marketing to convince people to play....
Just the usual alpha male chest beating arguments to try and justify one's own self worth through proxy. My system is superior and thus I am superior crap. I would really like to know how many of the people that whine about free vs. pay buy bottled water on a regular basis...irony.
With the characters, actors, and writing...they could have at least lasted 8+ seasons if they wanted. =[
I will be nice trying to pick out their voices.
