No, let's not do that. Fable has its own quitks, and it had massive potential. They just could not deliver on that potential: making your choices more than just new dialogue and a jot down in your journal.

Witcher 3 gets a free pass from everyone. They ignore that games bugs and issues, but crap on Fallout 4 in an instant with no remorse. It's a joke.
And naturally the Witcher 3 is bought up. That game was great, but it is boundlessly overrated. It did not do anything so above and beyond other games, besides how all the fetch quests tied in to the story. That was cool, but people have stop worshipping that game.
It's funny isn't it. Everyone complained that Mass Effect didn't have enough exploration. So Biola really tries to put in exploration and...... 4/10. It's like people think game developers have infinite depth of resources and time.
Inquisition was legitimate. Best of the three gaMrs for people who like the lore. So many secrets .

Really? Varric and Solas were there as well. Though to be fair, Varric was not quite himself in Inquisition. Oh, and then there is Cole as well. None of their cast are really bad, it just happens that you don't like them. That's quite different.

It may not apply to you, but these core game aspects that the game apparently lacks are lacking in other highly praised titles, yet people dont bat an eye.
I myself can barely even get into the games that have come out this year: Nioh, Zelda, Horizon, etc. All good games, but I just dont enjoy them like I do Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Guess I just dont care about superficial aspects.

No, I fight because I wont simply allow people to trample over a really good game just because ot is not up to their lofty perfectionist standards. What most of these people are doing is not even critical, its just a mass flogging. Beating the game senseless and not even considering what it did right. The game is not bad at all, just controversial. I for one am enjoying it more than the other games that came out this year. Zelda and Horizon are the rare exceptions, but most games now and days get crapped on if its not Call of Duty or some movie game.
