Really, it upsets you that he finds the game to be average. I mean its not an average game, its probably just average in the aspects that he likes in a game. It depends on what one looks for in a game that will determine if one likes it. I know I cant get into it, and I still think the game is amazing, even though I cant play it. The depth of player choice and customization on how one wishes to play Horizon Zero Dawn is not something that is there, and that keeps some people from enjoying it....
Stop. Bethesdas in game density and depth is still unmatched.Items randomly thrown throughout the map, and the game remembers them. Bodies rarely disappear. Their games are juggernauts of effort, and If anything is going to overthrow Bethesda, its going to be their current uprising in greedy practices.
Bethesda games arent broken. Witcher 3 had just as many stupid glitches and.......those arent being bought up at all.
@Snipershot325
Do you really think games that are as dense as Bethesdas are going to be bug free? I wonder just how the hell they get all of that stuff into their games anyway, but people dont seem to realize just how much stuff is going on in those games. The Witcher 3 was a buggy mess for awhile, but of course no one gives them crap for that.
Horizon Zero Dawn is open world, and has solid visuals, however, it does not have the same level of depth that Bethesda's games do. Bethesda have skilled developers, and people underestimate just how dense their games are. It would be very hard for developers to do follow in Beths tracks. There is a reason there are virtually no copy cats to Bethesda's games.
Shaders? They are microtransaction now.
An expansion is similar. This game is most definitely a 60 dollar expansion.
True. No last gen to hold it back, and the game still looks exactly the same. Nice.
This game is so copy and paste that it makes Call of Duty look like the Final Fantasy series. I don't think Bungie are that scummy, but we all know that Activision are. Hell, crappy Madden hames put more effort than this.
The game doesnt have to be a radical departure from the first, they could have just differentiated a bit more from the first. Something as simple as not recycling the same menu, the same watch your ship loading screen , etc. Not recycling the same bosses, and not cranking down the difficulty to such abysmal levels. Oh, and charging people for Shaders is ridiculous.
No, they just gave us Destiny with more microtransactions, and a few cutscenes to shut us up about the story.
A half-ass cash grab maybe?
Wait, you consider the souls games and fallout 4 to be rpgs, but not Skyrim?lol
Depends what you fancy in an rpg. People who like watching their games more than playing them, they love the Witcher 3.lol
Skyrim is not weak at all. Skyrim embodies the things that the Witcher lacks, and vice versa. And please dont underestimate the world and lore of Dragon Age. I have yet to play an rpg that has a player looking for answers more than Dragon Age.
Except the character progression and diversity of gameplay. In that area, its deadlast.
lol. Skyrims combat was pretty bad. It's still my favorite rpg,but without magic and mods that game would be hard to play.
You aren't the only one who thinks it's boring. Three of my friends think its bad, and one of them literally walked to the balcony of Kaer Moern, and said "This game is ass", and never played it again.lol
I think they weren't being fair though. The Witcher 3 is a great game, just hard to play if one enjoys meaty gameplay.
Any game that has alot of people saying it is the undisputed king of rpgs, and even king of games? Such a game is overrated. If the gameplay was more dense and diverse,it would be a god game. But, then their story would not have been as tightly crafted. I personally just like the Skyrim/Kingdoms of Amalur approach.
So, let me get this straight. Witcher 3 dumbs down aspects from Witcher 2, and was quite buggy, and no one bats an eye. Fallout 4 does the same thing, but it gets crucified for it. No one comments on the awesome little details that they put into the game because "graphics are ugly and engine is dated." When has Bethesda ever had a stunningly pretty or smooth game that they developed? That's the trade off of trying to pack a game with alot of cool stuff. The Witcher 3 is not my c...
