Sometimes sacrifices are required to reach the goal in question. It is the burden of creation and design.
People have interestingly high levels of expectations. No one even realizes the improvements that were made. If it's not macroscopic evolution, its not good enough.
Perhaps it is perfect. In my book, perfect does not mean not making mistakes or being the ultimate. Its is simply being a paragon amongst your kind.
There are things to be criticized, but perhaps there is a tad bit of jaded gamer syndrome here. As we adapt to the changes bought upon by improvement, there will yet be an ever increasing desire for more.
Nothing against those that have a general dislike for the game, but it does seem that if a developer of high capabilities stumbles even a tiny bit, the hyeenas and vultures come out.
I love Bethesda, but truth is they have become corrupt. I saw it coming when Todd Howard was saying that they opened up several new studios. It is the fate of most organizations that grow too large:corruption
I wouldnt say it was THAAT great either. I recognize CD Project Red s efforts, and also that it may not have been the game for me. However, from an objective stand point , the game is still really well made.
Some people just seem to like the graphical powerhouse games with high production value, but no substance.
Most organizations will become corrupt once they grow too large. The worlds strongest man likely has to consume a large amount of food to maintain his strength. It's no different for these companies. Not that it is justified, but this realm will have shadows wherever there is light. They consume because they must, and it eventually becomes greed.
True, the change in focus is apparent.
I thought it was cool. Either way it goes, so long as the game is at acceptable levels, people should support it. We always talk about how sick we are of EA screwing up with their march towards ever increasing monetization. If this thing is at least at acceptable levels and is not trash, we should encourage EA to be more mindful of these types of games. We now have the opportunity to change things, lets do that. The only language they speak is money.
I would encourage anyone who has any interest in seeing EA change, to buy this game, as long as it is not at unacceptable levels of polish, even if you dont really like the game. We have to send a message to EA that this is heading in the right direction. And the only language EA talks is money.
Developers dont want Jaded gamers that everytime a new game blows peoples minds, they expect virtually every game to be just as good or better. If it is not Red Dead 2, God of War quality, its s**t apparetly to alot of people
It's fine to be honest if you do not think it was that great, but be wary; dont prove EA correct about the people not wanting single player games.
Moral of the story, people like games because there are certain things that draw them in. If those things are absent, the person will not enjoy the game. I cant play Breath of the Wild because of my weapons breaking. Before I realized this, it was one of the best games I had ever played to me.
But ultimately, it all depends on what people are looking for in their games. I know I did not like Breath of the Wild, despite its accolades.
You know how it is. People see other elements included in the game that are not the focus. I cant tell you how many people I have seen rate the game lower due to the story being "dull". People are concerned about story..... In a game called Rage.lol
Bioware screwed up, but who is it that set the bar high for monetization? With such a skyhigh goal post to reach, the foundation and focus was screwed from the start. Bioware will not be able to function under the current mandates of EA, it is just contradictory to the type of experiences that Bioware is adept at making.
lol. What is reality?
Played Morrowind, Oblivion and skyrim. Loved all three for different reasons. Hard to say which I like most though
