Get ready to be crucified for liking it.lol
Its a solid game. This was predicted many years ago: Bethesda would not be viewed with as much adoration due to the shifting expectations of gamers. Bethesda put an equivalent amount of hard work and effort into starfield that other devs have put into their games. It just manifests itself differently. But ever since the last of us 1 dropped, the expectations of gamers has been quite clear. Graphics, presentation ( character animations etc), and story. Bethesda is still doing what they have be...
To plant a seed
People once again speaking with certainty compelled by the human races compulsion to compete and compare. Starfield does what it does better than the other rpgs this year, and vice versa.
I think older kratos is a stronger kratos, but young kratos possessed a greater power. The power of hope is what I honestly think gave young Kratos his overwhelming might.
Thats one thing I will say…. The map design is not very good. Kind of trash compared to skyrims map
I always find it interesting when people speak with such certitude.

Not every game is made for everyone. Bethesda didn’t invest resources in the usual factors or standards that people would label as necessary for a good game. People are also comparing it to Baldurs gate etc. Lets stop comparing games with such a competitive mindset, and just pick the games you like to play and enjoy them. Starfield is a hell of a game, its strengths just dont manifest in the same way as games that are more aligned with the expected standard.
Working on a new Ip was a risk. . There are always risks. We could say the same for tears of the kingdom.
I wouldnt say its at ragnaroks level, but they are skilled at using lightening to their advantage.
It is miles better at meeting the expected industry standard. Starfield has its own strengths that exceed other games.
Theres a reason they are the only ones that make theses types of games. They sacrifice polish for ambition. People would say its an excuse, but its easy to talk when we arent the ones working on the game. People hve a havit of thinking they see more than they actually do.

@edprez- Its just that I hear things such as “Elden Rings combat is amazing”. I think its decent, but not amazing. Sometimes it feels like Im missing something.
We all no it’s subjective. People love Elden ring, bit I dont really play souls games for their moment to moment gameplay. I prefer nioh, sekiro, and wven wo long to Elden ring in terms of moment to moment gameplay. I am still not quite sure what people love about souls games so mich, but there must be something to it to have such a cult following
In today’s environment, if its not an 8 or higher it’s not worth the money. Thats the common mindset at least.
@SETTriP That is a good point. If I was to take a guess, it was because Elden Ring was innovative to the souls formula. I never truly understood why people love souls games so much, but one thing I noticed is that Elden Rings open world design is a perfect fit for the formula. In other From Software games, its easy to get stuck and not want to play anymore. In Elden Ring, if you are getting bodied in one area, you can just go to another and perform better. Its hard to deny that in so many way...
What is considered perfect is a reflection of the observer. If the observer does not understand perfection, they will not see it.
Not necessarily. I mean if you dont like the game you dont like it. Everyone own individual thoughts and impressions are technically valid towards the game. It is just my hope that people can see the value in the game, even if it does not meet individual or industry standard.
