Should have been expected. Gamers now and days are a bit too greedy to appreciate simplicity of a high caliber.

People set standards of what is “good”. Interestingly, it is a strange form of confirmation bias, in which people look for evidence to support what they deem “good or bad” about a title. That is why we have so many people that say that starfield does nothing new…when that is literally what it does..something new…for Bethesda at least.

I wish these large publishers would understand: You dont have to make hand over fist money with every project. You can have your money making schemes to rake in cash, then use a little of the cash to acquire good will by making games that the community are asking for. Im sure it’s possible.
EA cares about money. Its a part of the reason why veilguard faltered. Instead of letting Bioware cook, they said “we need to make it live service to maximize profits.” EA only baacked out on the live service mandate because the growing ire of the gaming community was starting to effect their bottom line.
Understandable, it is a very different game in many ways.

Yeah, your right about the lore, and thats the reason I like dragon age in the first place. I think thats why theres such a divide with veilguard. Those that fell in love with dragon age for the rpg mechanics were gravely disappointed.
It wouldnt be “STARFIELD” then if you were only able to go to one or two planets, with a few hand picked landing zones.
You do realize they do hide loading screens right? It just wouldnt make sense to try and hide teleporting from jemison on ground to some other planet in the distance. Besides, a hidden loaded screen is still a loading screen. If you wanted them to have no loading screen, it would require a game taking place in one or two locations. Even baldurs gate loads....

Your not getting handcrafted planets. Anyone who thought that would be the case, even before the game dropped, doesn’t understand how things work. This type of game will also have loading screens.
I dont think thats how 60 positve 40 percent negative works, but alright Im the minority.

Its “meh” for the average normie gamer. people that like starfields loop…. really like it, despite its niche direction.
For me, its Wuchang easily.
What I saw was in league with modern production value. Not sure what people are so picky about.
