I doubt that very much. The Witcher 3 sold over twice as many units on PS4 as on the Xbox in each successive year between 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Cyberpunk 2077 might well be on MS stage, but judging by the revenue that the Witcher 3 brought in from PS4 sales, it is very unlikely that CDPR will snub that market for a timed deal with xbox - especially considering the number of PS4's that are now in the market compared to 2015. It is more likely that they will have a marketi...
It's not just that Sony are providing new games, they are investing in new franchises. Going forward we know that we will probably be getting sequels to games like Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, maybe even Detroit Become Human and Marvels Spiderman.
Sony understand the bigger picture and how to play the long-game. Going into next gen, thay will have a huge arsenal of new and established IP's to bring with them.
Exciting times.
Sony are really smart to release game in Q1, when there's a bit of a game drought, it just guarantees that more people with pick the game up. I hope it does well, and we get new franchise going forward.
I think it was lol. I'm liking what I'm hearing about the dynamic enemy encounters and how it ties into the gameplay. I'm hoping it's deep enough to make the enemy encounters different and fresh each time.
Well there'll be new gameplay at E3, so hopefully we'll see and hear more to whet the appetite.
I was actually wondering about this (especially since the whole Red Dead 2 pre-order mess up). I think Game Informer asked them about getting a model of the bike or something like that.
I guess you didn't get the memo...
They're not zombies. They're freakers.
I'm willing to be that there is a story reason why they're not zombies, i.e. I'm guessing Deacon's love interest is probably still alive, but has turned, or is turning. Either way, my point is that it's the story and gameplay that really holds a game together for me, much more than the canon fodder. heck, they could zombies, aliens, demons, Nazi's...
Yup, definately. They also said there would be new gameplay at E3, hopefully, it will show improved combat mechanics, maybe more about the Horde and maybe abit more of the story.
Bend have had a challenge trying to distinguish this game from others like TLOU, and I think at E3 they will show enough to make the game stand out from the crowd.
I am excited for this game, and will definately be getting it day1.
True, although Sony will have to keep Days Gone and TLOU2 separated by a good couple of months, just to avoid the comparisons. At least Days Gone releases before TLOU2.
On a side note, I'm not convinced that Death Stranding, will be released in 2019. This is Kojima we're talking about here! What I do hope for though, is a kind of Death Stranding Ground Zero, where we get and extended gameplay demo.
That trailer was much better, and really helped to show that there is much more to the game that we don't know yet. It's a fine line between letting gamers know what your game is about to get their their interest, and showing too much. I think I've seen enough now to know that I want this game.
That was the best trailer for Days Gone. I feel that until the Game Informer deep dive, they didn't really do the game justice when it came to showing it off. But that trailer had loads more detail in it. I can't wait.
I'm excited to see more, as long as it's actual gameplay this time, and not another over-the-top Michael Bay scripted cinematic trailer.
Sony kept their promises and more.
I second this motion.
That's awesome news, and a real compliment. Now when the Connor and Hank DLC coming?
I was just just about to say this.
Dude, in all honesty, you've convince me to give this game another go. I love games with strong narratives, and good replayability, especially when combined with good gameplay and combat mechanics. It sounds like I'd enjoy it.
Thanks man.
The game sound amazing in concept. It's all about the execution though and the gameplay mechanics. I'm excited, but I hope Kojima makes the story understandable. As a long time fan of the Metal Gear Series, I can tell you his story lines are as confusing as a barrel of snakes (pun intended).
Now I can't wait for the E3 deep dive.
Yeah, I have this sick feeling in my stomach because I know that as soon as I see the next gameplay trailer, I'll cave in and buy the Special Edition. After all Red Dead Redemption comes around once in a generation. Right?
But I know that I'm being used, and I feel ashamed and dirty :(
Not much, they just have to turn up! :)
But seriously, Sony have all the most anticipated titles.
