Ermm... not to be picky but....
Overwatch is on that list. A game that came out in 2016 AFTER The Witcher 3. So... yeah!
Anyway have a listen to some this, it's just Epic https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Yeah, but this seems like a one in a million deal between Sony and Marvel/Disney etc. There's no guarantees that there will be another such deal. So make the most of it while you can. You can't have too much Spiderman - I mean how long has it been since you last played a quality Spiderman game?
At least it's done and dusted, and we know what we're getting. They probably want to give the game some extra legs to tie into the Christmas season and the release of the animated movie. I've got my pre-order locked down, and I know I'll probably splash out on the DLC if it's substantial content.
The Witcher 3 had an awesome soundtrack.
I'm loving that gameplay demo (although I was way too overhyped by the media reaction, that when I finally saw the demo it didn't live up to the media hyperbole - but that's just me I guess)
I still wish CDPR implemented a third-person view though. I don't buy the "it's to enhance immersion" bullcrap. Some of the most immersive games that I have loved were all third person - Dead Space, TLOU, Mass Effect, Dark Souls/Bloodbourne heck even The W...
I remember The Matrix Online. It was one of those games that filled you with so much hope for the potential of what could be achieved. Unfortunately the developers could not compete with the expectations of both the fans and the publishers. The Matrix movie was such a huge property at the time - both cinematically and ideologically, that to do it any justice it would have needed much more resources and a much greater depth of vision for the game, than just the quick cash grab that WB saw in i...
I agree. I think it would be a great opportunity for ND to launch another new IP. They could still set it in the uncharted universe if they really wanted, but I think after Uncharted 4, they should be allowed to give the treasure hunting a rest.
Yeah, I'm currently love Prey:Moon Crash. It's criminally underrated. I hope Arkane Studios are allowed to make a sequel to Prey, using the game mechanics of Moon Crash. I'm hoping that's their multiplayer project they keep teasing.
"Oh wait, this isn't COD. Should be safe."
Well we all thought that until EA decided to ride the diversity train. Where do you think it will end, if we continue to give them a free pass?
I know, how you feel. For a long time I would get games my mates were playing and vice versa. But as work and family commitments increase, I don't really have time for multiplayer gaming anymore, plus my twitch skill levels have diminished exponentially since my glory PS2 days.
On the up side, along with most of my mates, we've graduated to more mature singleplayer story driven games, so there's always good conversation around titles like Prey, TLOU, Horizon:ZD...
How much do you want to bet that there will still be a Day 1 Patch?!
In any case I can't wait for Sep.7th.
Wow, that interview had to go in hard with transgender fluidity right at the start - yeah because that's why we've all been waiting for this game - so we could be gender non-binary. I get it, it's a game about TRANShumanism. And simply because that includes the adjective 'trans' we're never going to hear the end of it, if the game doesn't completely allow you to undergo full LGBTQA+ post-op surgery.
Here I thought this game was about humans and t...
The year was 1997, I was at Uni studying computer programming and Intelligent Systems (AI), I was living in some horrible student digs and was stoned and bored out of my mind one evening and took a walk to my local Blockbusters (remember them). They had a discount on a PS1 bundle with Tekken 3 and Fifa '98. I hadn't yet maxed out my student overdraft, so I took the plunge.
It completely blew me away and literally revolutionised me and my mates student social life at...
Excellent video. It did well to increase my anticipation for the game. Good to see that Insomniac did their research and due diligence when bringing Spiderman's combat to life. It's this type of nuance and polish that make great games.
Looks like a less polished version of Until Dawn.
Sounds like damage control to me. The game won't "bomb", i.e. it will still sell millions of copies, but it won't reach EA's projected profit margins - and that's the problem they're having right now. It's very interesting because they've come out and publicly said, "no loot boxes, no premium, no progression micro-transactions". I'd like to see what they do when the game does make their sales projections.
@ Newmanator
When fans voiced concerns that the cosmetics DICE were introducing would fundamentally change the tone of the, DICE/EA basically, did not listen to the concern, nor did they taken on board the suggestion of being able to turn of the presentation of other player customisations. They basically dig their heels and and said the fanbase were uneducated, misogynists, and that they should not buy the game if they don't like it.
That's defini...
Yeah you'll get the usual trolls because its a PS4 exclusive, and I'm expecting the 'mandatory' comparisons to the Batman Arkham series; but from what I've seen so far I'm all in regardless.
I'll try the beta and make my mind up then, I really enjoy BF1 so I don't mind the reskin. If DICE do a modern shooter I'd prefer if it was Bad Company 3. Then they can do whatever they want with customisations and there wouldn't be a problem.
Everyone should try Prey:Mooncrash. I know it's not strictly a spin-off, but man, I am having so much more fun with it than I did in the main game. The new Roguelike game mechanics make it feel like a whole new game.
Edit: SkillUp knows what I'm taling about https://www.youtube.com/wat...
