Its always a good idea to temper the excitement and hype for any game, it nearly always reduces the actual experience of playing the game, when you start encountering things that don't measure up to the hype. I remember the hype for games like, Destiny, The Division, Watchdogs, No Many's Sky etc etc. Everytime the games didn't live up to the hype.

Dude have you played Mass Effect? What about Dead Space? Dark Souls? Bloodbourne? TLOU? Heck even GTAV. I could go on an on, but you get the point. There are very many IMMERSIVE third person games out there.

Coming off The Witcher 3, arguably one of, if not THE most immersive RPG of this generation, it is only natural for fans to expect Cyberpunk - another deep RPG, to also have a Third Person view.

The argument for immersion doesn't...

Bit there is yet to be any official word confirming that the BETA will be extended, unless I've missed a twitter post or something.

Hopefully they extend the Beta.

For the article "All games should look better on release than when they are shown off, its the basic expectation... It doesn’t happen most of the time, but with Spider-Man it did."

This is exactly what I thought, that actually since the initial reveal trailer that game actually looks better in many places. I don't really care anyway, I have this on pre-order and can't wait to play it.

Time to delete some of that backlog for this bad boy.

Now THAT is how you do Photo-mode for a Spider-man game. Pure Awesomeness!!!

That's the best thing they could have done. I would say good on them, but common sense seems to have escaped EA for so long. Hopefully this means we get all the multiplayer features at launch.

As much as I love Detroit Become Human, I can't see it winning GOTY. There's just too much media bias against David Cage for them to grant him a win like that. Saying that though, I think GOW is a much better contender than D:BH.

Speaking of Spiderman, it's in one of those categories that very rarely wins GOTY - Superhero games. Just like multiplayer games, superhero games have to be exceptional in every way to even get nominated for GOTY.

Naa, I don't pre-order for the bonuses, I pre-order so I can play on Day 1 - for me that's priceless.

Let's be honest now, once RDR2 drops there won't be many more contenders left standing.

HOLD THE PHONE! A Bad Company 2 Remaster!? think it's abit late in the day for this to be released day and date with BFV - surely DICE would have announced this at Gamescom or E3.

But man, I would take a BC2 Remaster over BFV at this point.

That was awesome. For the animators to first use 3D pre-visualisation to set up the scenes, and then use mocap actors to act it all out - seems like a lot of hard work; especially when most studio would simply cut corners to save costs and out source their animation (Bioware I'm looking at you).

The quality already shines through, and I'm so glad Sony are holding the game to the same standards as they do their first party games 2870d ago 6 agree3 disagreeView comment

I'm glad to hear that it's developed into its own fully fledged game. I can't wait to see how it all come together.

Unfortunately this is true - for good and for bad. I don't actually think BFV will fail as big as people think it will. I don't want it to fail at all mind you, and I think the gameplay will still be good. It's just overshadowed by too much negative controversy.

I did't say EA would definitely shut down DICE. I just raised it as a valid concern that actually speaks to your point. EA may instead get DICE to work on cheap money making schemes to get that money back. We're already hearing that they are now putting more emphasis on monetising the Battle Royal mode. Which ever way you look at it, it just doesn't bode well whenever EA try to recoup their loses. 2871d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

It depends on what they're fighting against?

My concern is if BFV underperforms as per EA sales expectations - what happens to the franchise, and more importantly, what happens to DICE? EA have a terrible track record of shutting down studios that don't meet their astronomical sales expectations.

I want BFV to succeed, just because I can't bear the thought of DICE being shut down, or the Battlefield franchise being reduced to a mobile abomin...

Yeah, it's beginning to become obvious that this game is not ready for launch. What is happening with game development that a game can no longer release feature complete? Hopefully the open beta proves me wrong, but I'm not holding my breath for a stable game upon release.
