@Kyizen
You do know that they had two Alpha test right? But besides that what reason do you have for why the pre-orders are 85% below that of BLOPS 4; especially when pre-orders for BF1 were tracking higher than for COD:WWII?
That World War 3 game looks interesting https://www.youtube.com/wat...

"everyone’s jumping on the bandwagon just because. They’re being just as ignorant as the sjws"
The pre-order sales suggest that contrary to your statement no-one is jumping on the bandwagon "just because" . There is a reason, it's becasue DICE/EA have lost touch with what their audience really want in a BF game, and are trying to take the franchise in a direction that doesn't interest their core fanbase.
...
I'm expecting it to score between the high 8's and low 9's.
The literal hype train :D
I loved Metro, but unfortunately after the coming holiday glut of games, my February '19 game will have to be Days Gone. Seriously though, publishers need to space out their games much more. What's with cramming so many games into the same months. Imagine if they spread it all out through out the year, we'd have new games coming out every month.
I hope this really bites EA in the a$$, 85% behind is a massive sales drop.
It's their own fault, there'a a very simple rule - listen to your loyal fanbase! The long term fans are the ones that have supported BF, and been there all these years; it's NOT the SJW's who don't even play the game, you should be pandering to.
The real issue for me is not about women, or customisations or even historical accuracy. The real issue for me is th...
True. I'm actually really on the fence with F76, I'm in two minds about the whole only multiplayer thing. And yeah, Bethesda trying to screw people over for selling what they rightfully bought is as anti-consumer as you can get.
SO you don't have to pre-order to get into the BETA? That's great and counter intuitive at the same time. I though EA would have wanted to push pre-orders by making it a prerequisite for the open beta. Anyway, I'll give it a try, but Spiderman is out the next day and New York needs saving, so...
Battlefield V is really turning out to be a bit of a dog and pony show.
I don't have much faith in this one. Good job that between Spiderman, RDR2 and Fallout 76, I won't have any time for BFV anyways, so no real loss there.
So glad they picked Norse, it just worked so well.
That was an EPIC boss battle. In a way it was a little bit too Epic, as all the other Boss battles in the game didn't really live up to that first fight.
Case in point we now have a whole series of vlogs on that one fight, and not on any others in the game.
I hope this doesn't mean pink tanks O.0
Where is this interview from? Is it Gamescom? I can't wait for this game. It'll be awesome.
"This looked like a steampunk convention that a bunch of teens hosted when they found grandpas gun chest."
I think you just figured out the sales pitch for BFV.
They ran with it.
Unfortunately the Execs are under the thumb of the board, who are under the thumb of investors. The poor devs almost don't have a choice anymore, but to kowtow to the chain of command.
Loving your name :)
@ziggurcat
I hear what you're saying, but you're avoiding the point of this entire thread. Pre-order sales of Battlefield V are down,why do YOU think this is? The analysts suggests that it's BFV's positining between RDR2 and BLOPS4 - which I don't think is the case at all.
I think it's the backlash from the BFV reveal and the ensuing furore over how EA/DICE tried to explain away the problem by branding it's core fan base as ign...
Very late game review. Some games don;t age well, and a late review would lose some objectivity simply because game mechanics have improved sine the game got released. I did really enjoy at the time though, it was much better than the sequel at least.
Numbers don't lie. It's just that facts. For all we know post launch BFV sales might drastically pick up, and the game could go on the be the best selling in the entire franchise. For example, No Man's Sky was able to turn around it's poor reception, and now it's quite a good game. But the facts are facts, BFV has not been received well by the community and this is reflected in lukewarm pre-orders.
