I think Bioshock Infinite had a better story over all. However, the whole packaged experience was inferior to that of TLOU. For example the characters, and their inter-relationships (Booker, Elizabeth, the Lutece Twins, etc) are very interesting, but they just do not have the depth that the characters have in TLOU.

While TLOU may not have had the most original story (it has been done before in different guises), the way the story was told, the depth of character, the graphics e...

I really enjoyed the vid, loved the concepts that strummerdood thought up. You should put those ideas to ND and see what they think of them.

One of two games ever, that I did not complete because I was too scared to.

Excellent article +1 from me as well.

Another one for the list, is obviously Trophies/Achievements. When I get a new game, I can't look at the trophy list cos it just ruins the game for me.

When I finish the game however, I then decide if I'm going to platinum the game based on the trophies. If the trophies are simply unachieveable (usually multiplayer trophies like be first on the leadserboards or something like that), I somehow can't bring myse...

Bioshock Infinite is a very good game, but nowhere as good as TLOU.

That depends on what Sony/Developers do with it. The PS Move didn't get any real support from Sony or from Devs. it ended up just being a gimmick that Sony could use to jump on the 'motion controls' bandwagon. At the present time, none of their launch games have even been confirmed to need the PS4 camera.

I agree, but if you read the article you see that the author has BF4 as one of the most anticipated games for PS4, so he is a fan of FPS.

Assassins Creed 4 though... really? really really? What will it do that will be different on PS4 than PS3? Nothing.

Swap out Assassins Creeed 4, and put KZ:ShadowFall,(or even Watchdogs for that matter) and you have a real list.

It's not just the money though, it's also the time to play and enjoy these games before settling into next gen. Once games like Watchdogs, BF4 and Killzone Shadow Fall hit, I don't know if I'll really have the time to go back to my current gen backlog. :(

If we're talking strictly shooters, every next gen shooter that has been revealed looks better that COD:Ghosts.

Killzone: ShadowFall, Battlefield 4, Destiny, Titanfall etc etc, all look much much better than COD:Ghosts. And all of them are at least doing something graphically and gameplay wise that is pushing the next-gen envelope. COD:Ghosts - not so much.

Depends more on the game itself. Loved the open world of Far Cry 3, but also loved the linear story of Max Payne 3. I also love the wide linear path of TLOU, and at the same time really enjoy fully open world games live Red Dead Redemption.

As I said it depends more on the style of the game in question as opposed to it's general gameplay settings. Assassins Creed for example would not really work as a linear game, while Uncharted wouldn't really work and an open world...

No Killzone Shadow fall on your list = FAIL.

The only thing I need to consider is how much money I can save before release day.

I might have to forego GTA V (ouch), Splinter cell Blacklist, The Bureau, Killzone Mercenary. All in all that should save me about £200.

Thinking about film to game, you have to first consider which devs are able to pull it off.

For example, I'm thinking along the lines of Rockstar - Max Payne, Quantic Dream - Heavy Rain, Rockstrady - Batman Arkham City, Naughty Dog - The Last of Us.

It's well known that films don't translate well into games and vice versa. The only film on that list that that would be worth translating into a game would be Gamer. Because it has potential for some ...

Naa I'd rather invest my time and money in 'real'next gen consoles. Probably a PS4.

@stef - TLOU is not about the infected at all, ergo TLOU is not about zombies. BluEx said it, the infected are not the focus of the game. All the zombie games out there, are all about - guess what, the zombies. Infact, in TLOU you fight humans much more than you fight the infected.

First thing. The *infect* are not zombies. Zombies are the living dead, i.e. people who have died and then are re-animated.

The 'infected' in TLOU are people who have contracted a parasitic disease. This is THE important plot point, especially given the whole story about Ellie.

***SPOILERS***

Ellie is immune to the disease and can be used as a cure. If they were zombies (i.e. dead bodies reanimanted) there would be no possibilty of a ...

God No! Leave TLOU alone. don't ruin it by making it a TV series. Leave it as a powerful gaming experience.

The graphical leap for Uncharted to Uncharted 2 using the same engine was amazing. Imagine the graphical leap from TLOU to TLOU 2!!!
