Here's a thought. Will next-gen strengthen game studios? Indies will get a good chance to get out there and grow IMO. New IP's will get a chance at a good start - Titanfall, Destiny, The Order etc.
But the people that will really really shine, are those that shone this gen. You've got to imagine what Naughty Dog and Sony Santa Monica are cooking especially with Mike Cerny behind them and the power of the PS4. Just allow for their first tier games to test out the s...

Awww, man I was really holding out for The Bureau: X-Com declassified. I rented it just to be sure, but man! What a let down.
If it did not have the X-Com name attached it might have actually scored alot higher as a brand new IP on it's own merits. But when you then put it in the X-com universte and them basdardise all the X-com elements, it just fails.
Looks like I'll be picking up Enemy Within instead.

I bet this talk of "more persistent" games simply means that they're going to shoe-horn multiplayer into all their games. Good to hear that next gen Tomb Raider is still on its way though.
I know Mark Cery is the lead dev for this game and all, but I just can't get excited for it. Maybe if I was younger, 'cos I know they are targeting a younger demographic, but I'd rather he was doing a Ratchet and Clank game, or Jak and Daxter for PS4.

Yeah, I was stoked for ESO until they announced a subscription service. Now I'll just stick to all those free to play MMO's on the PS4 instead.
I mean seriously, are console gamers going to pay a subscription to play online, pay to buy the game, and then pay another subscription to play the game.

Thinking about it, PS3 definately set the benchmark for games last gen. I have no doubt that Sony will continue setting the standard for games on the PS4.

I know right, you'd expect the single player to be locked down easily at 60fps, while the multiplayer reduced to 30fps to increase latency.
I guess the single player game is going to be jaw droppingly gorgeous, if they have to run it at 30fps on the mighty PS4 0.o

simply answer is no. After 12 months or so of PS4 sales Sony will bundle the PS4 with the Vita. Heck in 6 months retailers will be selling custom bundles anyway.
Why spoil it for yourself though, I have never got that about gamers.
