Titanfall wiss sell, and will sell well. It just won't be enough to balance the sales differential between the PS4 and the XbOne.

Got my Special Edition on pre-order already. I just wish it wasn't releasing on the same day as MGS:GZ. I can't play two games at once dammit!!!

Wait, isn't this old news. Didn't we know this last year?

I think Metal Gear Solid:GZ will do a lot better in Japan than Infamous.

"History has shown us that the first company to reach 10 million in console sales wins the generation battle".

Looks like PS4 will reach that milestone by E3!

Only Polygon could put such a spin on Microsofts desperation. In truth, EA would have made the exclusivitly deal with Microsoft based on sales projections of consoles, as well as the projected attachment rate of the new IP - Titanfall.

Even though the deal has been signed, Microsoft's sales projections have woefully under performed on number of consoles sold. Therefore attachment rate of Titanfall is proportionally affected.

Microsoft are trying to save f...

With the subscription model, I understand that you need to pay devs to work on content. That's only fair. But a subscription model that's more that say 4.99 a month is too much for most on a console. Simply because the age demographic is for consoles is less than PC. For the PC crowd, yeah 8.99 a month or something like that is acceptable because of the age demographic. There are more mature gamers on PC than on consoles. In most cases it's mom and dad who bought 'new-must-hav...

Not only are they desperate, but a price cut so soon leaves them with very little maneuverability going forward. Their share holders wont be too pleased I'm sure. Especially after the sales spike of Titanfall starts to die down, and Sony is still selling PS4's by the millions.

I'm really enjoying the PS4 beta. I just don't think I'll be paying a monthly sub, not unless they make it much more affordable.

I don't think it's too little too late, I think the opposite actually. It's too much too soon!

A price cut this early in the console life does not leave much room for MS to maneuver down the line. Their share holders are not going to be happy with the the loss of profit margins, especially when sales don't pick up in the long run.

MS is desperate, and a price cut this soon, means that they know they are onto a loosing streak. They need to rea...

Yup it has officially surpassed Uncharted as my most anticipated next-gen game.

Too true. M$ on the other hand have played their trump card way too early. A price cut does not leave them with much room to maneuver down the line. I think it's clear that MS have become desperate, and know that they are loosing this generation really badly.

If they had some big strategic advantage up their sleeves, which they believed would turn the tide, they would not have cut the price so soon.

Exactly. Sony don't have to do anything. They still have the better consoles and consumers know it. They've just released in Japan, and by anecdotal estimates they should have sold another 1 million consoles at the end of the Japanese launch week.

Yes, Titanfall and the price drop will see a spike in XbOne sales, but once Sony's games line-up start rolling in, any advantage Titanfall will give M$ will quickly fade. Especially since the gaming press will continue t...

Sure, but all I want to know is when does the game release on PS4?

4516d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Agreed. I think there should be a sequel, but with new characters. The post-pandemic world of TLOU has so many more stories it can tell. It doesn't have to be Joel or Ellie.

Although after Left Behind, it proved that alot of people would still play a direct sequel that featured Ellie.

The question is, when is the PS4 version being released?

4517d ago 6 agree0 disagreeView comment

when is this game releasing on PS4 dammit!?!?!!

4517d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Guess I'm cancelling my pre-order. I'll get the game used. I'm sure not going to support lazy devs.

Looks like I'll be cancelling my Thief pre-order, and instead I'll be getting MGS:GZ, alongside Infamous.

4517d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yeah, TLOU2 won't be out until 2016 at the very least. A 2017 release is more probable (if at all it's going to be made).

I'm sure there will be another 'The Last of Us' game. It won't be a sequel as such, as it will not follow the story of Joel and Ellie. It will just be set in the same post-pandemic universe, but will follow the story of other/new characters.

Just my 2 cents!
