DICE need to get rid of Battlelog on next gen consoles. Period. The PS3 and Xbox360 are not having the same issues. I wonder why?
I refuse to get Premium or any other DLC until DICE fix the constant crashing and other bugs.
I love Rocksmith, it has truely been overshadowed by the Rythm game genre fatigue, and I think people judge it on that basis - until they try it and it blows them away. I've had mates who have never held an electric guitar before try Rocksmith and in 10 mins there's a huge difference. The 'lessons 101' are brilliant in this regard.
I can't understand why the single player campaign keeps crashing as well. That's Battlelog for you, a bloated and completely unnecessary feature. I'd swap the whole of Battlelog for squad-invites.
I remember the days when you bought a console game because you wanted to avoid patches and crsh-to-desktop problems!
I was one of thise that didn't care about all these "social features". But after seeing it, and just how seamless the whole thing is, I'm in love with it. Heck the whole PS4 UI is just so sleek and sexy anyway that the "what's new" feature just fits right in.
They'll probably stay in the hardware business and look to make the Wii2. They'll probably just cut their loses from the Wii U. I can't see Nintendo going software only, they've got way too much money and prestige for that. Even though the Wii U is a flop, doesn'nt mean Nintendo is broke.
I'll be making my way to the launch event tommorrow evening after work. Hopefully Sony give away some awesome goodies (40" flat screen TV's anyone?).
Thats exactly what I was thinking. WTH Ubi, get on it, we want Jimi on Rocksmith!!!!!
Well that depends... for the FPS junkies the top 3 would naturally be Killzone SF, BF4, and COD Ghosts.
For the casuals, it would probably be, Resogun, NFS Rivals, Knack. And for you general all rounders, and adventure gamers, then it would likely be Assassins Creed 4, Killzone SF, and NFS Rivals.
But really, I don't think you can have a top 3 for launch games. There's just not enough diversity yet.
I think it's interesting that the PS4 recognises the PS3 disc, but just refuses to read it. I don't beleive for a second that Sony (or Microsoft for the XbOne) could not make the PS4 backward compatible. I bet if gamers had kicked up a 5h1t storm, like they did with the XbOne DRM fiasco, the PS4 may well be backward compatible now.... you never know....
It's a moot point, the PS3 and 360 have a ton of games worth plating, over and above the Wii U or next gen consoles.
I got an email from GAME inviting me to the PS4 launch party. I'm Mega excited to say the least!!!
I can't wait to play this on my PS4!
Could not agree with you more. My guitar playing has improved by a phenomenal amount.
I hear you, at the end of the day Gameplay has to come first. I guess the first shot the head hits the helmet.
yeh, right. That's why Wii U's have been flying off shelves... because of their great launch games! The article claims the Wii U is the best 'next-gen' console to have. What? FAIL.
Excellent, vid. But the thing is really, a headshot should actually be a one hit kill. Shouldn't it?
The PS4 EU launch will dwarf the US launch, simply becasue it will be launching it about 30 territories or something like that. Therefore the PS4 launch will dwarf the XbOne launch simply becasue it will be launcing in fewer territories, and there is alot less demand for the XbOne.
It's all to premature. Wait till Christmas 2014, when 1st party AAA games are out, and both consoles have been on the market for 12 months. It's then that the numbers will be significant. Now, ppl are just jumping to conclusions based on pre-order numbers and first week sales.
The PS3 is a sexy beast, and the consumers know it - hence the unprecedented day 1 sales. The UI is far from "basic" it is sleek, minimalist and functional. It's practically perfect. The social features are a huge bonus. But it's going to be the games that will move the console int he new year. I can't wait for the first party studios to start flooding in, starting with Infamous.
