For me, Next-Gen started with Killzone Shadowfall. It was the first Next-Gen game I played. Just sayin...
When does the review embargo lift? I predict an 85 metacritic average.
Yeah, whatever. We know it will still come. It's Microsoft premier IP. It's a no-brainer.
@GamerXD
A PS4 'TLOU Definitive Edition' with full graphical enhancements and all the DLC will sell like hotcakes. Especially if they add UC4 BETA access just to sweeten the deal.
TLOU 2 is a no brainer. It probably will feature all new characters from the same universe, and will move away from Joel and Ellie's story.
It's simple really. If Kinect is that good why do you need the remote... afterall you can just use the buttons on the controller... correct?
You talk about "choice" but did Microsoft give you the choice of a kinectless XbOne? NO!
The point reamins that this is a peripheral for controlling the TV functions of the XbOne. The message of the day is therefore rightly interpreted as, "more TV" functionality for the XbOne.
At this point I'm not sure Microsoft know what message they want to send, or to which audience.
I can't wait until E3 ( I know I say this every years) but this years E3 is going to be the first 'next-gen' E3. I can wait to see what what Sony first party studies are working on. I really want to see what Microsoft are doing as well, and what games they have that will pull in the core gamer.
I don't think Titanfall wil be a success int eh same way as COD, BF4, Halo, or the other big shooters out there. Too small an install base. It will sell relatiley well upon release, but ultimately Destiny is going to eclipse Titanfall simply becaue it will be a multiplatform release.
I completely agree with you. A multiplatform launch would have been Epic, and would have solifified the Titanfall IP in the minds of gamers across the board. As it stands now Titanfall will sales will be on the minority console, PS4 owners would simply substitute whatever experience Titanfall would have brought to the table, probably with Destiny. Destiny is a good example of business foresight with a new 3rd party IP. Bungee worked with Microsoft for years, but they had teh business acumen t...
If you go by Squenix standards 3-5 years in development is a 'rushed' game. Anything less is just DLC (FFXIII I'm looking at you)

@medman,
I hear you, and I agree to an extent; but what I'm saying is that Sony own the IP afterall, and they have the final say on any projects that come out of their studios. It's not as if ND have the authority over Sony on what they do as a studio.
Furthermore, Sony is in the profit making business. TLOU will make a massive profit. Why would Sony not want to capitalise on that. It would be good for Playstation.
Somehow I don't think Sony will just let ND start a new IP, without them somehow capitalising on the success of TLOU. The fans are clamoring for another game set within the same universe. Heck call it a new IP if you will, or don't call it TLOU2, but if it's set within the same world as Joel and Ellie, it will sell by the bucket load.
Got mine on pre-order.
Am I the only one who really loved FFXII. I haven't played every final fantasy game, but I thought this was the best of the bunch I had played. I found it much better than FFX, which is getting a HD remix.
Here's an idea, put it on Playstation Now, I bet you it will make a bucket load of cash.
So basically, Poygon are saying that the Left Behind DLC is better than the full game? You see how their bias comes round to bite them in the ass? The game has won more GOTY awards than any other game in history. Too late to try an save face now Polygon!!!
I might have to dip back into BF4 when this gets released.
Flamebait article is flamebait. Each platform has its own exclusives. It's abit premature to shoot your load, about an XbOne excusive that is not yet released to see if it is any good.
The exact same premise could be used to argue for any PS4 exclusives e.g. "No Naughty Dog game on the XbOne is a BIG deal. Deal with it!"
Or the fact that so far there have been more AAA exclusives announced for the PS4 than the XbOne. There were more AAA exclusiv...
meh... it'll be a bundle by Christmas. They probably don't want to bundle it now due to the price issue. With the Vita slim being released, the price of the 'phat' Vita will start to drop. They'll probably want to bundle the 'phat' vita with a PS4 to lower the price of the bundle to make it competitive.
Well, first lets see if they update the game engine. But I'll bet my last penny, it still won't win any GOTY awards, or infact be genuinely innovative.
I just can't see Activision allowing the COD teams to change the formula of their 'secret sauce', especially now when it has Destiny under it's belt.
It's the first-party studios that will really drive next-gen games development. Multiplatform devs will still be limited to the lowest common denominator console. Even though devs are pushing higher resolution and frame rate on the PS4, when it comes to true next gen gaming experiences, it will be the first party studios that matter the most.
