AWESOME NEWS!!!! Rocksmith 2014 has officially caused me to become an insomniac. I just can't get enough of it.
DICE had better sort out the crashing and freezing issues with BF4 before they start releasing Map packs. It'll just make a bad situation worse.
That's such a shame. I am one of a few people that still uses Blockbuster on a regular basis. I rent alot of games before I buy them, and I buy most of my movies from Blockbuster. They just need to go online already, if not they just won't be able to compete unfortunately.
Physical all the way. First I don't have to spend hours downloading it. And I can always trade it in, lend it to a friend, or sell it on ebay :)
Really good piece I enjoyed reading through your Day1 experience. Being in the UK and not getting my PS4 for another 2 weeks - I'm riveted to the US launch.
Good to hear a level headed approach to the the launch day issues, and great that the overall experience was very positive.
I have to wait for another two weeks before I get mine, but I hope Sony can iron out most of the issues before the EU launch.
Yeah dragging my PC into the lounge... naah too ugly a setup. My console fits in the TV cabinet, nice and neat like.
Connecting a PC to the TV is beside the point, that's not how PC's are naturally set-up. Heck I can connect my smart phone and my Tablet to my TV as well. But that's also beside the point. That's not how they are naturally used. A console on the other hand... but I guess that is a completely lost on you.
BTW, do you have to use ...
What is hardcore? If by hardcore you mean not interested in paying extra for unwanted features, then Sure. Or if by hardcore you mean, a console that is primarily designed for games, then sure. I'm a hardcore gamer. And sure I'm getting a PS4.
But what of the casuals? Sony has courted the Indie devs, in order to draw in the casuals (I prefer this strategy over trying to draw in the casuals with TV services tbh). Sony definately want the casuals onboard. I mean why els...
Polygon.... smh... anyway.
Well it's not really PC versus anything if you think about it for a second. After-all are the next gen consoles not simply 'patented' PC's with a brand and trademark behind them?
The same is true of Tablets and mobile phones. They are all evolving into mobile 'personal computers'. To me the argument is moot. underneath the hood, they're really all different types of 'computing systems'.
...
Welcome to the darkside young padawan. May the 4 be with you!
That's beside the point. The point is having to pay more for a 'Next-Gen'console that can't even run Call of Duty in 1080p.
Games generally age very badly, simply because the medium advances in leaps and bounds, both graphically and technically, e.g. in A.I. improvement, number of players, multiplayer advances etc.
Playing Half-Life now for the first time just will not have the same impact anymore, especially if you've played any good narrative driven FPS. Playing Metal Gear Sold 1, or Resident Evil 1 or Tomb Raider 1, will not inspire any of the same emotions that it would have done back in...
The Ultimate Evil Edition has already been announced for PS4, which includes Acts I-V (i.e. The original Diablo III, with all the new bells and whistles of Reaper of Souls.
Entitled much? You should have just waited like the rest of us. But yeah, they have a character transfere system. I don't think it'll be an upgare though. You might be able to upgrade from Diablo III PS3 to Diablo III PS4. but I highly doubt that you would be able to upgrade Diablo III PS3 to Diablo III:Ultimante Evil Edition on PS4.
Those are two different products. On two different systems. Plus, Blizzard know how to make a profit you know!
Yup, I knew it too as soon as they announced a PS4 version. Glad I waited, now they just have announce a release date. Hmmm... guess I'm going to have to get a second PS4 controller now...
It's not disguised at all. It an all out full on fan war. What else did you expect? But behind that fan war, there is a genuine debate... waiting to be had.
During the current gen, the Xbox fanboys relished in the graphical comparisons between the 360 and PS3... and so did the gaming press. The result was that multiplatform games generally scored lower on the PS3 than of the 360. The verdict was that, why would you spend money on an inferior looking product? All things be...
I don't know why it took me so long to get into PS+. It is the best value proposition from Sony since... well since they went online. The fact that all the F2P games on the PS4 are indeed 'free' once you have Plus is just icing on the cake. Add the fact that for the one sub, I get PS+ access for my PS4, PS3 and PSVita, and it all sounds too good to be true.

Looks like, the PS4 has 5 times the pre-order numbers than the XbOne. 0/o
Wait, what? Don't mess with me right now, I'm fragile. If it's true though... aww man see what your doing to me. Don't be getting my hopes up for nothing, man.
But what if it's true... let it begin... Let it Begiiiiiiiiiiin!!!!!!!
It's your own fault Microsoft. Greedy bastds trying to scam consumers with forced DRM on a more expensive, but inferior console.

Not by much though... not by much. C'mon lets not kid ourselves, the launch games are not the reason why people buy new consoles. Neither are the launch games the measure by which to judge the caliber of games that will be released on the console. Just look at the 1st party PS3 launch games, and then compare those with the rest of the 1st party games that followed. Launch games are really just something to tide us over during the launch window. Give it till E3 2014, then tell me who has t...
