Naa, I can't say PS Plus is delivering on PS4 right now. For PS Vita and PS3, Yes Definately. Comparativly then the PS Plus PS4 experience is lacking.
But I understand, the games line-up in general is lacking so...
But yeah, when Infamous and MGS hit the drought will be officially over!
I know the gaming industry runs on hype, its only natural for devs and publishers to hype their games by drip feeding information tot eh fanbiys. The hope is that word-of-mouth, aka 'hype' will sell the product.
However, since the release of the next-gen consoles, I think the hype train has gone into 'hyperdrive' *pun intended*
Resolution gate scandals, downgrade scandals, leaks that are not really leaks at all, OCD sales counting, hyper-analy...
I clicked the article just to see if you wrote the entire piece without any punctuation either :))
I'm enjoying Dead Nation at the moment, and really enjoyed Outlast (the Johnson twins *shudder*).
But to be honest, it's time for the AAA games to start rolling in. I don't think I could have waited say another month. Infamous and MGS are just in time for me. BF4 and KZ no longer really doing it for me now. Plus I've rinsed all the F2P games as w...
Corvusmd,
By what standard do you define KZ:SF a failure? By the fact it has sold over 2million copies? Or by the fact that it is still graphically better than Titanfall?
Such mindless comments.
Anyway back Ot, Titanfall's resolution can hardle be said to be "terrible". It is this kind of hyperbole and exaggeration that does no good to gaming, and which pointessly inflames the fanboys.
Case in point, corvusmd. ...
Exactly, my man. No chance. I've come this far and only 6 days left.
Fuse. Now there's a game that went stright to the bargain bin. I might pick it up an see what all the 'hype' was about. There's a lesson to be learned here Insomniac. The grass always seems greener on the otherside, but it doesnt always payoff.
I caught that as well, I'm thinking for online. But it would be cool to have a female Trevor 0.o
The character development of the MGS cast has taken place over the course of the 4 games. Kojima-San has really done well to give his main characters depth. Fans of the series would have seen how the different charaters have grown and evoled since Snake Eater. I like the way Kojima links the various characters through the different games.
Wow is that true, over 1 million pre-orders for Infamous. And I guess that's not counting bundles either. Rumor is that Sony has 200k Infamous bundles coming to Market. If it's true then Sony have another AAA hit on their hands. Next Friday just can't come soon enough.
Brand loyality is the other half of what makes gaming so much fun. C'mon tell me you don't enjoy it. You online gaming journo's love it. Whole careers are built around it.
Without brand loyality aka the console war, there would'nt be such competition between the big three.
We all love it, be honest!
@sonarus
The thing is, the hunger for games on each platform will be satiated by both Titanfall and Infamous. I really can't see anyone holding out for Watchdogs as their reason for getting a next-gen console. They would have been sold on either Titanfall or Infamous.
Naa, if Skyrim is not the biggest open world game, it most definately is the deepest. you have to factor in that you could enter practically every building, and you could also craft a huge range of items.
Welldone ND. Best Devs last Gen in my book. Keep your 'A-Game' going forward with the PS4. Not least because Ready At Dawn are gunning for your Crown :)
I'm on media blackout now. No spoilers for me please.
I wonder, is Skyrim the biggest open world game? Anyway, I'm still lookjng forward to watchdogs. I love open world games.
@lifegamesisok
He can say this because he has finished the game and was posting his review with screenshots.
You obviously did not read the article, and you also obviously did not see the screenshots he posted. If you did you would understand.
There will naturally be Peaks and toughs in hardware sales alongside significant software releases. But this affects both consoles. XbOne sales will naturally peak with the release of Titanfall, meanwhile PS4 sales will also peak with Infamous.
There will again be a lul until E3 (I don't think Watchdogs will drive hardware sales), and then it'll be the holiday season (yay), when sales will again peak.
What can turn the tide? E3 and the fall games line...
Peaks and troughs are to be expected - naturally. Hardware sale will always peak with the release of major software. Both Microsoft and Sony will see a peak in March - that's a no brainer. Titanfall will drive XbOne sales in Europe and US for the month of March and maybe April. But Infamous, and to a lesser expten MGS:GZ will also drive Sale of the PS4 in the same period.
Then there will naturally be a declining in hardware sales until the next big release - Watchdogs may...
Regardless, it's way too early for either side to start claiming victory or defeat. Realistically you have to wait for the initial launch sales to subside, then you also have to wait for the first run of post-launch games - a season we are now in, to also pass.
Realistically, you have to wait for the first year of the console's lifecycle to run it's course to begin to get a true perception of which console will be the dominant platform going forward.
I know I shouldn't laugh but.... aahhahahhahaa
That sounds hilarious.
