I might actually pass on this one...
Excellent article. Well thought out, with very good points. Where do I start, and how do I keep this brief.
Well, the jump off point is Nintendo. Now you have to understand that not all cultures embrace homosexuality like the western world does. I am not Japanese, but what I know of Asian cultures is that homosexuality in general is not freely accepted as it is in the western world.
So it's not that straight forward for 'westerners' to look across...
I didn't know that. Does that mean that the last gen versions will have a completely different gameplay mechanic?
Can we not start this please. An arbitrary number based on subjectivity, resolution-gate-fanboyism, media hype, and game journalist elitism.
Keep your review scores. I've got the game already pre-ordered. So have millions of gamers across the world. Arbitrary review scores won't change that.
We'll just enjoy the game anyway!
I'm loving what I am seeing and hearing about this game. The nemesis system mechanics seem really interesting. I just hope the overall story and gameplay has depth and replayability.
I'm really interested in this game, I just hope it has the depth and replayability to keep me invested. It definitely has original mechanics.
I just don't get it. Do people not want the videogame industry to mature and grow up? If this was a movie poster, there would be no such 'outcry'! Why? Well because it's okay for movies do depict real life issues, but games OMG NO!
Peeps need to get real! Even if it was a white guy on a Himalayan, so what? Let the story be told. Let us not censor ourselves and stifle artistic expression within the gaming industry, just because of some false and misplaced egali...
Gaming for me is the perfect escapism...
Yeah I know peeps like to go play golf, or go fishing etc etc. But to me when it comes to escapism and immersion - gaming all the way. That's why my favourite games are games like TLOU, Skyrim, GTAV, Bioshock and Mass Effect etc. Those games create living believable worlds that I can completely immerse myself in and get lost in for hours on end.
Long live Gaming!
I'd pay 60 bucks for TLOU remastered, even though I completed TLOU. On the other hand, I completed Tomb Raider on PS3 but did not shell out for the Remastered PS4 Edition. I completed Metro Last Light, but won't be getting the remastered Edition. If Quantic Dream were to release Beyond Two Souls Remastered, I wouldn't get that either.
To me, TLOU is different though. It is such a high quality gaming experience, that I am willing to pay agian to relive that experie...
Yeah I mostly game at night, it's about the only time I get the TV to myself. The down side is that I end up only getting like 4 hours sleep a night :(
I'd buy it for Eve Valkyrie
Cool, that means me! I will win E3 :D
Yup, my thoughts exactly. My money's on February 2015!!!
I never had any expectation that this game would release 2014. They gave no indication that it was even near release.
On the flip side, it's looking like 2015 will be a good year for big AAA games, starting with The Witcher.
@Kanye
When it comes to exclusivity deals, M$ are by far the worst offenders. Have you forgotten already that last gen M$ bought so much exclusivity that whole games did not come to other platforms? Moreover, this 'exclusive gameplay' is a timed exclusive anyway, it will be released for the PC.
Sony should simply announce a PS4+Camera bundle for the same price as the kinectless XbOne.
Oh the irony (if it happened)!
Yeah but now what do they have? Kinect was an advantage, but now they've lost that. They don't have the better hardware specs. They keep going on about "the power of the cloud", but it is Sony that are making strides with PlayStation Now, i.e. their cloud servers. All they've got left are the games, and you van bet that Sony also has a good strong line up of games as well.
I'm playing though the Witcher 1 and 2, just picked them up off Steam. I never had a PC that could un them back in the day. But man, I'm loving it. Can't wait for Witcher 3.
Is it me or does that logo have a bit of a 'Sauron' feel to it.
You speak too much sense. You sure you came to the right place :)
OT it's just because people have their hopes so high for this game, that they don't want their expectation to be dashed to the ground.
The article loses it's legitimacy completely when the author acknowledges that he hasn't "finished the campaign yet". So how would the author know if the story doesn't satisfy him?
Heck, I loved the story in Bioshock Infinite, but some thought it didn't work and was too convoluted. Similarly I loved the Mass Effect 3 story ending, but some others though it was absolute rubbish.
As a 'journalist' you will lack credibility if y...
