Not so much. At this poitn it's very hard for it to live up to it's own hype. Plus Squenix have developed a bad track record.
Is HAlO coming out this year? If it is, I think that will drive xboxone sales. Mind you, in that time, The Last of Us Remastered will drive PS4 sales.
If Watchdogs sales are anything to go by, multiplats will drive PS4 sales more. Heck Destiny pre-orders are tracking higher on PS4.
It will be ground breaking in terms of interactive story telling with dynamic multiple outcomes. in terms of visual quality of an open world game. It will probably be ground breaking in terms of how many awards it will win when it releases!!!

Yeah, I was hyped for Dragon Age Inquisition, but then The Witcher 3 happened!!! Everything about the Witcher 3 screams "Next-Gen". Dragon Age Inquisition seems more middle ground.
It reminds me of all the hype that surrounded Bioshock Infinite and the huge media attention that Elizabeth got and how revolutionary to was supposed to be. Then The Last of Us happened!
Yeah I'm really dissapointed that FFXV is not going to be at E3. For me that means that it's unlikely to release this year. I know peeps are saying TGS, and I agree there 'might' be a teaser trailer or something at TGS, but I doubt a release date will be announced.
Then there's KH3, which, if FFXV is anything to go by, might end up not gettign released this gen anyway? I mean, how long has FFXV been in development now, it missed the whole of last gen!!! So...
Same here. I can't wait. I think Sony are trying to cover their tracks since the date got leaked. But yeah, I hope they still release in June anyway despite all the leaks and rumors.

I'm really intrigued to know how they will 'introduce' all the backstory to these characters, especially when you also take into consideration the backstory in the books.

Yeah it is probably high end PC footage. We'll know more at E3 at to which version was the trailer. I'm sure the fanboys will have a field day with the graphical comparisons across platforms.

Well spotted. I think everyone missed that, even the IGN rewind guys. Loads of info, I'm excited about underwater areas to explore (I know he's a mutant, but can Geralt breathe underwater???), and the horse riding.
Also, we finally get to "hang out" with Yennifer. Yay! I wonder what Tris will feel about that, maybe that's why she's brooding with a clinched fist in the trailer? Possibility of a 3some maybe? Damn I can't wait for this game!!!

I agree completely . There's no other gaming trade show that's more important than E3. The successful reception of the PS4, and the unsuccesful reception of the xboxone, were in large part due to their E3 2013 impressions (alongside other things like price etc). There's no denying there was fan backlash for MSoft after their E3 showing last year. I'm prety sure they know the impact a good or bad E3 showing has going forward.
The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition should be on any list IMO. It's probably the most overlooked RPG ever.
Here's hoping the single player campaign is longer than 4 hours (I doubt it though). I also hope the multiplayer doen't laucnh with bugs that take 6 months to iron out. I know that gameplay trailer was old, but man graphically it looked worse than the BF4. Knowing EA they will also be developing this for last-gen consoles, and so probably we shouldn't expect next-gen graphics on next-gen consoles.

I've just about given up on FFXV. I'm looking forward to the FFXII remaster already. Because at this rate it'll release before FFXV!!!
