I definitely agree, I love Child of Light, and more smaller sized really fun JRPG's games. (Although it is a French made RPG, so should it not be called (FRPG?)

It's probably because the cost of the project was significantly less than it's other major franchises - Assassins Creed etc. If Ubi were investing 50+ Million in the game's development, I bet you my last penny they would have had something to say about the direction of Child of Light.

If anything, the remastered games are alleviating a lean 2014 line up. Having more games to play is never a bad thing. You must not forget that not everyone got to play these games on last gen consoles. So it's a bonus for them. It's also a bonus for devs who get to go hands on with the next gen consoles.
