I just hope Sony incentivises Dacvd to use the Dualsense. We've had sixaxis motion controls, that were a thing when the PS3 launhc., That only really got used in a handful of titles; to be fair it was abit janky and imprecise. Then we have the touch pad on the Dualshock4, which again barely got used for much in games.
Did you play the RE2 Remake. That game was on point, and arguably better than RE6 & RE7.
I hope CAPCOM don't do a Square Enix who have a really bad habit of setting their sales expectations too high and overpromising their investors. I really enjoyed RE7, and RE2 Remake (but I think I prefer the latter), and I'm sure expectations for RE8 will be high. But selling 11million copies in 5 years??? I don't know about that. For open world games RPG's, I think Cyberpunk 2077 is likely to be really infIential going forwar. Also, I feel Baldur Gate 3 will be more influential that Diablo 4 for sure. Both these games are doing new things with the RPG and open world genre.
Great article. I think another category might be the rise and saturation of open world game; and conversely the relative demise of FPS saturation.
I wonder how MS will make this best or better when it comes to Gamepass eventually. It seems the dualsense is offering gameplay feedback that simply cant be matched on xbox consoles.
I think this gen Sony definitely has the multiplatform edge. I just hope they incentivise devs to make full use of the haptics.
You obviously completely miunderstood teh article. Jonny Silverhand is a character int eh Cyberpunk universe. He has a whole backstory in cyberpunk 2020 (that has absolutly nothing to do with Keanu Reeves), It's just part of the lore.

Great article, but I really don't think ppl need convincing. Backward compatibility is a game changer, and I'm so glad MS pushed the industry forward in that way. Hinestly if the PS5 wasn;t backward compatible, I would have stuck with the PS4 for alot longer. But as Jim Ryan said "when you buy a PS5, it comes with a PS4 included."

The fact he alluded to Playstation Now suggests that's what they have in mind. It wouldn't surprise me if it became included in PS+ in some capacity.

It was complete chaos today. I was literally on all of the stated websites from 8am this morning. It was a complete clusterfcuk. I think the Dualsence controller will definately shift the narrative of where is the best place to play multiplatform games. Sony has already overcome the power narrative, and those extra tflops that the Series X has over teh PS5 can't really be seen on screen ( at least not yet anyway), so for the average gamer the difference in negligible. But the Dualsence controller adds a tangible difference to the experience of a game.
