"...but in this case both Skyrim and KoA can take a lesson from Fable III"
I agree with this point, but for different reasons. In Fable, most of the characters are very memorable whereas in KoA: Reckoning, only Alyn Shir (the Dokkafar female) and Agarth (drunken fateweaver) are memorable. Also, the Fable games have many quirky and memorable side quests, but unfortunately KoA: Reckoning only has a few (although I never got bored from doing them all).
...
KoA is a great game.
"I could go on and on about the repetitive nature of the game and by repetitive I mean doing the same thing over and over for real.
Fighting the same enemies over and over.
Visiting the same looking dungeons.
Story that is as common and bland as eating a banana"
Congratulations, you just described the experience I had playing Skyrim.
This game should be called "NeverBuy"
Rayman Origins. It's so underrated that they didn't even include it in their list.
this video is over a year old...
"Missing in action ex-Activision title, True Crime: Hong Kong has been renamed 'Sleeping Dogs' by new publisher Square Enix."
You don't even need to click on the link to get that info.
The individual toys look great, but the combined form is lacking.

"Generic world"
Yeah, right... Enjoy your brown/grey palette games Gamespot, I'd rather play in a fun, colorful world any day.
"Generic quests"
Some are generic, sure, but most are fun. A bit hypocritical of them to criticize the quests in this game when they praised Skyrim's generic fetch/kill quests in their review.
So far I'm about 15 hours in and I'm enjoying it a lot.
It seems we have haters spamming the disagree button... How sad.
People were expecting a remake??? o.O
Wow. You guys are trolled easily.
Just ignore this idiot and move on. I can't wait for The Last of Us! Hopefully we see some gameplay footage soon.
@Troll-without-Bridge
Here's a mind-boggling concept for you:
Combat doesn't have to suck in RPGs. This isn't about streamlining the genre, it's about improving the modern day RPG because unfortunately for a lot of RPGs, combat isn't a strong point. Kingdoms of Amalur changes that.
"I once sat there listening to 4 guys play Halo 4"
I knew it... You're from the future, aren't you?
Fable + Dragon Age + Darksiders
That is what the game is like. Can't wait for it!
"Play Divinity II if you want a real contender to Skyrim."
I'm sorry, but that made me laugh. I had to return Divinity II because it was so awful. You criticize KoA for the faults you listed (which I disagree with entirely) and then say Divinity II does these things better? What a joke...
The trailer started off promising, but quickly became nothing more than a kill montage with epic music. They should have showed off the environments more.
Still, the game is most likely going to be a day one purchase for me.
@Arnon
Then you heard wrong. Check out IGN's 'review in progress' article (in b4 "lol ign wat do they know"), they mention that there is a ton of content packed in the game.
The demo was made from an old build of the game though. Big Huge Games sent the demo off to another studio, who then had to cut down the code for it to fit on XBL and PSN. The bugs won't appear in the final version.
^ You're absolutely right. It doesn't scratch Skyrim's butt, it shreds it to pieces!
The fact that you gave a game with 100+ hours of gameplay 5 MINUTES before deciding whether or not it's a decent game is laughable. You wouldn't even have finished the tutorial in that time... Either you have the attention span of a goldfish, or you're extremely good at predicting things (highly unlikely).
I'd love to know why do you think it sucks...
I'm sure he already knew that, which is why he said "if only Rocksteady COULD do..."
