Publishers (EA in particular, since they published the game) would be foolish not to consider buying the IP off 38 Studios for a large sum of money (that could help them pay off debts).
This franchise STILL has "big huge" potential. Hopefully Reckoning won't be the last KoA game.
Forget GTAV? Unlikely -- and I don't mean that in a bad way. Sleeping Dogs looks fantastic, but it's not going to make me lose any interest in GTAV. Why would it?
I'm looking forward to both games.
"...anyone with common sense would say put out something else first to get a boost while you work on the MMO."
That is what they intended to do with KoA: Reckoning. It sold 1.2 million copies worldwide, so I'm not sure why these guys are financially struggling.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
This could end up being really good. Can't wait to see some gameplay!
I hope they work everything out. KoA: Reckoning is a great game and a sequel would have been amazing. It would be a shame to see this franchise go to waste.
I hate to say it, but I'm not surprised in the slightest.
Insomniac never owned the rights to the Spyro franchise, much like Naughty Dog never owned the rights to Crash Bandicoot. Both IPs were originally owned by Universal Interactive Studios
No thanks. I'd rather have an all new Zelda game.
I've always wanted an Assassin's Creed game set in India, Japan or Egypt, but so long as the setting is interesting I'm happy. The American Revolution is a great setting, so I'm not disappointed in the slightest.
Well, IF they were to port it over to consoles without dumbing down the PC version, then I wouldn't be against it. I'm sure a lot of 360/PS3 gamers would love to play the game, but the PC version should be their top priority.
But I doubt they'll port it over to the 360/PS3. Maybe on future consoles...
On the Reckoning forums, one of the developers mentioned that *if* they were to do a level cap it would be released as an update rather than DLC, as they would want all players to have access to it for free.
He mad.
I've never been a big fan of Halo, but I'm keeping a close eye on this one. It looks like it could be very good.
The screenshot looks fantastic too! Keep up the good work, 343!

Rayman Origins is actually a sequel to Rayman 3, not a prequel to the first game. It was initially going to be a prequel (as shown in the first trailer), but at some point in the game's development (most likely after it became a full retail game) the idea was discarded.

Bingo! This isn't G1. :)
As for Hasbro "retiring" the Dinobots, that isn't completely true. If you read what Hasbro is quoted as saying, they just wanted the developers to come up with a good reason for them to be on Cybertron, before the Transformers discovered earth.
We had Dinobot Powercore Combiner toys last year. We had a MP Grimlock toy last year. The Dinobots were in TF Animated in 2009 (and we got toys for them), we got a Classics Gr...
The story in this game is that the Dinobots are created by Shockwave after he discovers 'Star Bridge Technology', which he uses to find a world he can "suck dry" of Energon to save Cybertron. Shockwave finds Earth, sees the dinosaurs and decides to capture some Autobots and rebuild them as powerful dinosaur robots to use as his personal protectors, but things end up going wrong.
Grow up.
I'm absolutely sick of the petty bickering on this site over console preference. People are allowed to own Xbox 360s, people are allowed to own PS3s.
This article is about upcoming PS3 games, so let's keep it that way and stop with the trolling.
Enough with these damn articles...
KoA: Reckong has sold over 1 million copies... The problem is, the game needed to sell at least 3 million to break even (as 38 Studios had been loaned so much money for the MMO's development).
