Those games are REBOOTS - not prequels.

"It is inane to think Sony would every think of emulating Microsoft's failed strategy."
Whether or not you dislike Microsoft for rehashing the same old franchises over and over is one thing, but to say that their strategy has failed them is laughable. They are successful, and like it or not, their exclusives sell well.
I dislike what Microsoft has become too, but facts are facts.
...or he's someone that has a sense of humor?
You must be the fan Randy was thanking.
"This version, the mad king, is a transformation of Washington's personality by the Apple of Eden ... If that doesn't make sense, it'll become clear when you reach the end of the DLC."
At first I wasn't happy with the "alternate reality" setting, but if it makes sense, I'll give it a look.
When people say that the Wii U version might be superior to the PC/PS3/360 versions of the game, obviously they're not talking about the fucking graphics! Bad graphics are the least of the game's problems! What's actually being said is - there is a chance that the actual GAMEPLAY may be superior.
And there is absolutely no reason why the Wii U version of Colonial Marines can't look better than the PC version, as the PC (and other versions) of the game all look...
This will be a day none purchase.
You'd rather buy an HD remake of Wind Waker than a BRAND NEW Rayman game?
Wow...
Watch some gameplay and judge for yourself. I have the first game and it's a lot of fun.

The game is not crap. I have the first one and it was a lot of fun.
You're missing his point.
The Dragon's Dogma expansion can't be purchased on it's own. To play it, you have to purchase the full game again in order to access the new content. All of the content included in the GOTY edition for Borderlands 2 CAN be purchased individually.
It's a completely different scenario. If the content available in the Borderlands 2 GOTY edition WASN'T available on it's own, then it would be a fair comparison....
"I would love to see them reboot classic Jak & Daxter."
Why reboot the franchise though? Just because the last game wasn't very good, that doesn't mean a new game set in the same continuity can't be. They can ignore that game (for the most part) and set the new one several years later.
Like it or not, it COSTS BETHESDA MONEY to port the DLC over to the PS3. They have every right to charge for it. They are a business and a business' goal is to MAKE money -- not LOSE money.
"Can anyone tell me which one was the first to come out on the ps3? I'd do the research, but I'm really tired."
It would take you less than a minute to type in "Ratchet and Clank" into Wikipedia. And yes, the first three Ratchet games on the PS3 are excellent.
"If story DLC was announced now for something like The Last of Us or Bioshock Infinite you would all be drooling like idiots."
Speak for yourself.
Remakes, remakes and more remakes... *sigh*
This is exactly why I didn't buy the original version of the game. I knew this was going to happen eventually.
Skylanders is a platforming/puzzle/adventure game.
And you can tell this how exactly? From watching a trailer and a few short gameplay videos (which look fantastic)?
Well, it COULD come to next-gen consoles, I suppose... But like Fluffy said, so far it's PC only.
