Some of the ideas in the article are contradictory, but when viewed alone, still interesting ideas.
I think the online friend thing works the best when you have a real friend (someone you know from work, school, etc) that also happens to have a PS3, and you trade screen names so you can play online together.
Personally, I don't have any PSN friends, so I don;t know for sure. But it seems like a good way to go about it.
I also have to agree with a lot of the ideas in this article (I especially like the power-saving mode, friend finder, and e-mail address).
One or two of the issues might be fixed when the 2.40 patch comes, but I don't even have 2.40 yet, so I really don't know.
Personally, I don't online game too much, and I don't have any friends on PSN, so a lot of those issues don't bother me since I'm not really affected. But still, I see how it could be bothersome for users who...

Well, 2.4 is almost here, and I couldn't be happier. Please people, try to be happy and enjoy what they've given us, rather than worrying over the features that aren't there yet.
