I hit up the Best Buy sale the other day. I had a ten dollar reward zone coupon, so I got 2 games for a total of $10. Great deal, right?
Well, that depends... The two games I got were Quantum of Solace, and Hellboy: Science of evil. Yeah...slight lapse in judgment on my part.
QoS came with a free t-shirt. So, since the games suck, I decided to pretend that I bought a ten dollar t-shirt and they gave me two games for free. :-)
...and Sony supports it for the 10 year life span, and they continue to release games of the caliber they have been, I'll be perfectly happy and content. Screw the console war. :-)
Yeah, I enjoy this game quite a bit, but then, I've only had it for 2 days so far.
This may be the first time I actually agree with all the people saying there needs to be online. Most of the time it seems like people just flat out complain about having no online since they think EVERY GAME should have it.
But in the instance, this game REALLY needs online multiplayer. The most fun I've had with it was playing with friends. So it sort of sucks when you want to p...
Hey, no offense taken I hope. :-)
Nah, not the accent. You just sounded tired I think. But it was a good review. You went into a little more depth than other reviews I've read recently for BZB.
Well...besides the reviewer sounding sort of stoned, this is at least--finally--a good review for BZB.
Wow, BZB really isn't getting much love from reviewers...
I gotta say, I enjoy the game quite a bit. I've been playing pretty much only BZB and Worms since they came out.
I'm willing to bet if BZB had online, most reviewers would have suddenly deemed it a worthy game. That's like the big sticking point of this generation: "give us online play with EVERY SINGLE GAME otherwise we won't buy it!!!" Oh, and "trophy support."
Personal...
Ohhh...did he mean Playon? I already own playon (got it when it was only $30). Awesome service really, with netflix, hulu, CBS, CNN, youtube, and newly added Amazon VOD, and Revision3 internet TV (plugin).
With HULU streaming, it's like the poor-man's Tivo. I miss an episode of something, I just call it up on Playon.
But I thought he meant there was some *free* service...so is this what he meant?
Actually, with Noby Noby boy, you *can* record in-game and then directly upload it to youtube. But you're right, it'd be cool to be able to do that with all games.
Also, I think there's a special youtube address that you can type into the web browser on the PS3 that brings you to a special PS3 modified page. But I can't remember what it is....it might be something like www.youtube.com/ps3 But I'm not sure...
What free netflix service? I'm not doubting you, but since I do own a PS3, if you could give more info, I'd appreciate it.
Yeah, you know what. I HATE Gamestop, and this smug reply to Amazon's venture makes me hate them more.
Will I sell my games to Amazon? Hell no. But I'm not about to sell them to Gamestop either. Ebay is the way to go for your maximum money back on a game.
...to read that he was in fact WRONG. The reviews actually are weighted, and this *blogger* (and I say that with all inferred disgust reserved for their sort) couldn't even do his own research before spouting off his opinions as fact.
Better yet, after acknowledging his own ignorance, he has this to say: "I still have to wonder exactly HOW weighted the different reviews are... Just food for thought."
The arrogance of this guy, unwilling to just let it go....
Yeah, and I only upgraded to 160 GB, thinking that was huge. :-)
One thing I didn't think of when upgrading was how the size of your HDD becomes smaller once you finish the process. I think I have like 130GB of free space after the initial install (something like that).
But then, I don't really download movies, so I guess 160GB should be fine.
Also--and I know this defeats the purpose sort of--but you can use the old HDD that you take out of the PS3, g...
Yeah, honestly, he doesn't really seem to stumble as much as I expected from the title. But one thing: if I didn't know that he is a Microsoft exec, I would have thought--from watching this video--that he was just some weird fanboy.
I mean, listen to the rhetoric he spits out. He talks about stuff that I thought only fanboys blathered on about like "the year of the PS3." He definitely took some cheap shots and stooped to a level I'm used to seeing on forums, but did...
Sac,
Playon actually upconverts all of the content pretty well, and the quality you specify (anywhere from low to high) determines how it looks on your screen. For something streaming off the internet, it looks pretty good.
And if I want something better, I'll watch bluray. :-)
I can tell from your passive aggressive reply and your bubble-count that you must make great arguments.
The reason I bring up playon is because whether or not they are talking about the PS3 "out of the box" or not, Microsoft showing off their numbers is meant to do one thing: Show perspective customers that the 360 has something the PS3 doesn't have. That's why Sony felt the need to counter Microsoft with their own PR.
MY point is that Microsoft (and Ko...
Yeah...well, I've been streaming netflix, hulu, youtube, and more on my PS3 for months now using Playon.
I love how these articles never seem to mention the fact that you CAN stream netflix on the PS3. And there's no subscription fee. Just a one-time $30 purchase of the software registration key, and that's it.
Even 360 users could use playon if they didn't want to have to subscribe to live.
So...can't you just put off finishing the main quest while you do side quests?
That's what I do anyway. I've been playing Oblivion for over a year, and i still haven't finished the main quest. I just keep playing and enjoying.
I just bought the CE of Fallout3 for the PS3. But I can't start playing it till I finish a couple other games I'm working on (Bioshock, Halflife2, Oblivion) Sorry, off topic...
I'm not saying this was real, but it seemed like he tilted the camera that way to show the TV and the PS3 at the same time. Notice when he tilts the camera, he keeps the PS3 in the shot the entire time, and gets the TV in the upper corner.
Again, not saying it's real, but that was how I interpreted the camera tilt.
Mentally challenged fanboys?
That's what confuses me. It sounds like people would rather own a console that sells more, but lasts a shorter lifespan, than a console that sells less and has a 10 year lifespan.
I could care less about which console sells more or "wins" some pissing contest. All i care about is that I purchased, first of all, a console that fits my needs, and secondly, one that will be supported and have great games for a long time.
